Re: Beko Fridge / Freezer fires

Well surprise surprise, after emailing BEKO today saying if I didn’t hear from them in 48 hours I would be placing the matter in the hands of my solicitor they finally get in touch! First by email to apologise and then calling to book an engineer for this Saturday. I have always liked BEKO products, they look good, work well, are very good value for money and spares are easy to obtain and quite cheep compared to some other makes but they have really let them selves down the way they have handled this. I agree with abuchan43, how on earth was the design for the timer housing passed in the first place??? All this trouble would have been avoided if a small drain hole had been drilled into the bottom of the housing. I don’t suppose BEKO will be the last to make a boob like this.

I am but there service at the moment leaves a lot to be desired. If I don’t hear from them soon I will be attacking the back of the F/F with some rubber grommets and the silicone gun.

Re: Beko Fridge / Freezer fires

I’m not very impressed with BEKO. I had no idea there was a problem until watching the one show last week. We have had one of there fridge freezers since 2006 and have not heard a thing from them. I could not get on there web sight and there phone number was just a recording saying they could not take my call. I finally got on to there website and found out my F/F was affected and recorded my details last Friday but have not heard a thing, in the mean time there is a possible time bomb sitting in the kitchen.

Re: ISE5 Broken down for weeks and no one seems to care?????

This is farcical now. Considering the “service” ISE supposedly pride themselves on I think they should have replaced MO6 machine for a new or reconditioned one a long time ago. I hope they are planing on a substantial compensation pay out! Yes no other manufacture would give out a loan machine or replace a machine in these circumstances but I thought ISE were supposed to be better than the rest?

Thanks for the conformation. If the felt fails I have found that replacement are available for under £10. But we will see how long my repair lasts.

Hotpoint are owned and built by the Indersit group, and are not known for there build quality or reliability if you check on this site.

I think the cheaper Bosh products are built in other country’s rather than Germany, and can be other makes with a Bosh badge on them but I could be mistaken about this.

A neighbour is interested in my old dishwasher. If its not the motor what else could be causing the fault?

not if I resell the new motor

Why would I be mad? the last one cost me £169 and has lasted 6 years and provided faultless service and never failed to clean a dish.
