ow well to late now. Order placed with Whitegoods

    :rolls:

is 5-6 years old so a new motor might do it good, not that there was anything wrong with it anyway, but I bet the brushes are a bit worn by now.

    Re: Beko no go

I really, really need some advice on this before I part with cash. 😕

I have taken the motor out and tested it with a multi meter.

With the meter set to 200 ohms I get the following results.

Between the red & white wires I get 77.2 ohms
Between the brown & white wire I get 45.2 ohms
Between the red brown wires I get 122.2 ohms

The motor is free and can be turned by hand.

The resistance between the connections on the heater are 30.5 ohms

There is no resistance between the terminal of the capacitor on the motor.

Is the motor shot or is it something else?

    Please help.

The result I would want would be a full refund and the cost of the food I lost in the freezer. But as I don’t have a garage or a separate freezer to put in it this is all conjecture

    Watchdog did have some success,

Remember the hotpoint washing line of shame.

The hoover free flights (led to a court case and the little man won)

Indasit dishwashers that liked to start fires.

There were results in all these cases, even if it was only a public apology. but some cost the company involved big money.

You are rite, people believe what they are told but personal if I had a Beko freezer in a garage and it didn’t work I would pursue it until I got the result I wanted.

Your rite, people very rarely take a big company to court, however groups of people do and places like this and watchdog can get people together.

If these claims are wrong then they are also fraudulent.

yes I did read the discussion, but if they are advertising it as fact, ether it must work or they have a large fund to pay for all the clames they will get.

    Re: Even older junior

OK The handle grip is not original, it should be blue and the fan cover has had its paint removed or has fallen off or is a replacement because it should be blue with “hoover” badge in the middle. Thats according to what I can find on the net.

Now there was the remains of a (fibber I think) washer in the bottom metal collar of the bag, I don’t suppose for a second they are still available?
