Dependent on model. Some are Frost Free and blown, some are wet back.

Here’s a tip to help you get the machine out.

Spray the floor in front of the machine with ‘Pledge’ ‘Mr Sheen’ or any other cheap polish, these all contain silicone and make the floor slippery. Open the door, put your foot against the base of the machine, tip the machine slightly forward and pull. You will find that it comes out easily. To put it back, spray polish from where the feet sit to the wall.

There is a test sequence that you can perform.

With door closed. Press and hold the two option buttons. Select ‘D’ keep buttons held for approx 5 secs, all light flash. Push start, select prog ‘A’ without going through ‘Off’ position, push start.

Machine should now

Fill through wash valve
Rinse valve
Both valves
Drum rotation+heating
Drain
Spin

hannahb, you say your T/D heats but then starts flashing lights, if you remove the worktop have a look at the insulator band around the drum, it is common that this distorts and allows the sensing band to touch the drum, this will say that the clothes are dry when they aren’t.
