I took the back off, ran the motor without belt to check that the noise isn’t coming from the motor (it inset) , and having reconnected the belt and run the machine with washing in the noise has stopped – it’s an intermittent fault which makes it even more annoying to diagnose so I’m, trying to see if I can recreate it whilst I have the back off (and top off it starts making the once again. I’ll let you know

Hi, thanks Dave, it only seems to make a noise when their is weight in it.. I’ll try what you suggest with the motor (though when the engineer attends to try and fix the previous machine which had the same fail they swapped the motor and try sounds still persisted) – we’re only a household of two so the machine doesn’t get heavy use.

Hi Dave, sorry about that, please try this video link which be public: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/Wwk_hqsZKmA

FYI, I have tried spinning the drum by hand when the appliance was empty, and the noise didn’t occur. There are no obvious signs of anything lodged between the drum and the outer casing. Cheers!

Thanks again for your help. I’ve checked the bowden cable and is seems to be ok as far as i can tell… looks like it’s the door interlock afterall….

Re: Bosch Model WFF2000GB – ditch it or fix it?

😆 your not wrong – I managed to replace the pump ok but had major difficulties removing/replacing the door ring thing and my machine now has a nice scratch near the porthole – ah well – at least it works now!

The sucess with the pump has inspired me to have a go at changing the door interlock. Does anyone know roughly how much these things are?

Re: Bosch Model WFF2000GB – ditch it or fix it?

… so I now have a replacement pump. Which is good. Apologies for what is probably a stupid question 😳 😳 but what is the best way to gain access to the old pump to replace it? I guess I have to remove the front cover – if so, how do you go about this. I can see the screws that I need to remove at the bottom of the front panel but how do I separate the panel from the door seal? Are ther any other issues I should be aware of whilst doing this (other than turning of the power etc!)

Re: Bosch Model WFF2000GB – ditch it or fix it?

The full model number is WFF200GB/01 FD760150883. Do you know how I can find out the part number for a replacement pump? and where is the best place to get one from? Are they hard to fit? I managed to replace a faulty pump on an old Hotpoint washer we had about 12 years ago without too much difficulty but are Bosch machines more complicated?

    Thanks again for you help.
