Re: Elba PXDO60 main oven failure

Problem turned out to be a failed thermostat.
    Thanks for the advice, all.

Re: Elba PXDO60 main oven failure

    Thanks, Dave – very helpful.
Element looked as though it had failed (there was damage similar to the photos on this site), but perhaps it blew the selector when it failed, or vice versa? Either way, I suspect changing the loom etc is going to be too big a job for me. Time for professional help.

    Thanks for the suggestion, Dave.
The only control on the main oven is the temperature control. Could this be the problem? (there is a selector switch on the upper oven, but that oven works fine)

Great – thanks v much, washtronics.
Had lots of fun dismantling cooker (removal of back required), and confirmed damage to element.
    Will replace.

Re: elba pxdo 60 Excellence – top oven door problem

    Thanks, Penguin45
Got there eventually – by ignoring the instructions in the manual and trying different ways until I could get the notch in the hinges to locate, *and* the support arms in place, at the same time.
I also noticed the door was thicker at the top than the bottom: by dismantling and reassembling it, and slightly realigning the plate that the knobs are in, I managed to get the whole thing flush too.

Thanks for the advice 🙂 Model number 49708. I’ll try to have a look at stat & doorswitch when I get a moment.
