ParticipantThey’re protective about it because in test mode the components can be powered up and they’ll ignore the safety settings…for example you could put a bag of sugar in the drum and on the motor test the 3G sensor for off balance detection would be ignored

ParticipantI assume that the float you mentioned is the flood detection float, this is connected to another float in the base which if water lifts it causes the machine to act the way you’re describing

ParticipantThe colour of the heat pump is sometimes changed, I see it quite often with Bosch genuine parts

ParticipantMost of the major retailers have a section on their website telling you why you shouldn’t buy a large capacity machine when you’ll struggle to fill it. Whilst I agree entirely that it isn’t fit for your purpose, Bosch didn’t sell you the machine, the shop did. With that in mind you are most likely covered by the consumer rights act which lays the responsibility firmly in the hands of the retailer and not the manufacturer.

ParticipantYou say it failed to spin thus drain, that sounds more like a drainage issue than a weight distribution problem. The machine drains before it spins and won’t even try to spin unless its completely drained. Might be worth checking the pump and drain hose.

ParticipantIt doesn’t come in the drain hose, it comes in the spigot that the drain hose attaches to. I’m guessing you had a new drain fitted to your sink

ParticipantThat’s a heater/NTC fault. Basically the machine is detecting no temperature rise. Most likely the bimetallic safety switch on top of the element but could be the element itself

ParticipantIts usually the inverter when they stop after 3 seconds on that model, worth checking the door switches as well

Do you rinse the pots before using this programme? The machine can see how clear the water is and adjusts the time and temperature accordingly
