thanks, the timer is listed as wpl 4820 0009 8365 which as you say is not listed anywhere, i think the hotpoint part no. is c00519579 (i could be wrong) but according to hotpoint is not available which is quite ironic as they are still selling this model number dryer.
Please help me if there is anyone who knows more

i have rang, no answer and emailed loads of times, no reply and no payment, yet another one that has either bitten the dust or just shouldn’t be trusted

thanks for your replies, I will now order the module and let you know how it goes, the reason I have gone for the module is because the machine wont heat up and there is no power to the heater.
