ParticipantRe: Flavel Milano 60 Glass Hob Lid Springs
New purchased spring assemblies LH & RH fitted with no problems, lid contact with shut off valve checked ok. But now lid will not stay upright. Both spring assemblies want to shut the lid which closes the shut off valve (logically correct) but also wants to close the lid.
Can you help.mike30….

ParticipantRe: Flavel Milano 60 Glass Hob Lid Springs
Hi Lawrence, still cannot complete a satisfactory outcome to fitting these glass hob springs. Can you please advise on the following query, realise that there is a left & right orientation, but after fitting do the springs help to close the glass lid (this action closes gas valve). And like wise when the lid is open will also open the valve. Or are the springs meant to close one side and open the other.

ParticipantRe: Flavel Milano 60 Glass Hob Lid Springs
Hi Lawrence, thank you for your prompt reply. Unfortunately I seem to have lost the plot. When I assemble the spring assy. prior to fitting
into the glass lid holder, it leaves the spring 180deg. out of line with the parent hole in the end fitting. I realise that the spring has a right/left orientation but to have to tension the spring through 180deg is not right. However during strip there was tension on the springs (but not 180deg) Can I send you some ” jpeg” images of the components for better clarification.regards.

Thank you Washman for your prompt reply, but the problem has returned in that the drain pump is issuing a buzzing noise but is not draining the the cabinet sump. Does this seem like the drain pump has failed. All filters are clean.

ParticipantRe: BEKO ca 5410w Fridge Freezer
Hi Bob thanks for your associated reply to my Beko Fridge Freezer ca 5410w model. I cannot find a wiring diagram but I have by a process of elimination managed to link out the thermostat control. This enables the compressor to run for a little longer, but still ‘cuts out’. Do you have any further tests I can try ( I am an competent electrician ) Can I bypass the overload and or the ptc relay and directly connect the power supply to the compressor for a short period to test the compressor.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.Regards,

Hi r600a apologies for the continuation of this post but having ‘almost’ returned my dishwasher to a re-usable appliance following your kind advice. Communications via Hoover and your good self have failed regarding a sensible explanation of a foweld upper paddle/spray bar
preventing a stat. program from completing a wash cycle in as much as a failure to run the ‘dry program’Without access to the machine logic flow charts I cannot further my query, acceptable from a manufactures point of view. But just by answering the query I do not see how an answer would conflict the company or the forum’s intellectual property’s.
Kind regards,

Hi r600a by removing debris ect. from the paddles it fixed my problem
as I stated above, but I cannot discover why this fix’s the problem
of the dishwasher not completing the ‘drying’ program. I have tried to
seek an answer but have failed. Would you kindly provide an answer as
why this works, I have exhausted my meagre forms of information.Thanking you in advance,
Mike.mike30

Hi Martin & Iadom as requested have attached a photo of the Commutator and replacement brushes and a commutator stone should arrive shortly. Iadom this Hoover machine belongs to my daughter who can ill afford a replacement, so I’m hoping that by fitting the new brushes obtained from your own parts supplier and a gentle stoning of the comm. that I can get her back up and running. Thank you guys for your generous help it is very much appreciated
Kindest regards,
Mike. ❓ ❓ ❓Sorry tried to attach small photo of commutator but file size to big…………………….

Hi Martin thanks for your posotive response to my hard headiness,
really do require any help you can provide. As I have found out the motor brushes are goosed. I have tried to obtain replacements from local ( Lincoln ) dealers but they have none. Have since learnt that the motor is indeed a Chinese manufactured one and these dealers cannot even find a part No. when they drill down on there pc’s. As mentioned by another of your moderators Iadom who has had the same problem. If you can help information as found.Model :Hoover Optima WMH 147DF/2-80.
Ser. No. 3100340910340240.Motor :Haier TUV HCD63/52a3 41015501 S3 F/155 (CLF/155)
Hope you can help,
