I ran a wash cycle again – you are correct the water is not heating.

Checked the element – measured 24 ohms. This isn’t open circuit. Is it the correct value?

The machine also seems louder when motor is running – a whirring/clicking sound? and I dont think it is spinning at full speed as when the washing comes out it is wetter than usual….

Any ideas?

Parts arrived day after ordering, got fitted (yes access is awkward…but I’m only an amateur…), and hey presto! one working washing machine! 😀

Ordered new pump (great parts service) – arrived 2 days later. Fitted in 45mins – runs like a dream with no problems since.

Thanks. Drained machine, checked pump no blockage. Tried spin cycle and it worked (?) has worked for a couple of days…then stopped again. Looks like an intermittent fault on pump as it is a bit noisy at start up after stopping…time for a new pump I think. 🙁
