thanks will check the pump for partial blockage and resistance

already done an insulation test on drum motor with a 500v megger it was practically infinity (disconected plug from back of motor to do this so as not to damage pcb

    will keep you informed

thanks for the input the scenario fits perfect

hi i had cleaned the dishwasher tubes etc. the problem occured haphazzard at first but eventually became permanent this solution has worked fine for 10 weeks or so now and must be an easy fix for the layman who is not technically minded thanks for the heads up penguin45 (ie the link to the fill matrix) i will know what to call it next time lol will keep you posted if i have any problems but it seems fine its used twice a day most days

Re: Smeg DI612 Error Code 2

hi had the same problem found an easy fix this may work for you ? takes 2 mins try turning the water inlet tap (this tap is the tap you turn off to stop water going into your machine) so that the water enters the machine at a slower rate this worked for me but i found this out the hard way after stripping the side off the machine and watching water go through a sophisticated fill loop(looked like a printed circuit but is white and fills with water one hell of a level switch!) seems this is a timed fill and if the water enters too fast it trips on overfill hope this helps you 😀

    Re: diplomat8132 intermitant fault

not working at all today wont do a cold rinse so i guess that rules out the heater and stat never realy looked but how much water should be in the machine when full1/2″ or more? managed to get an instruction book from a friend at mfi it says 2 and 5 are indeed an E2 error safety level switch tripped
this water level switch is it a similar type to a washing machine ie a presure switch or is it a float switch? machine is intergrated and i have checked its level
thanks for the speedy replies guys myke
