Re: Whirlpool AWZ7913 exhaust thermostat – is it available?

Sorry Penguin45, forgot to include that in the posting!
    The NC number is 8575 787 15071.

Searching around I think the ntc part number could be 481225928863? but not sure?

Re: Bosch WTL6102GB condenser dryer cutting out after 30 min

Hi, thanks for the reply; confirmed that no lights are present and that she has not attempted to clean the condenser?

Without lights could it simply be an overheating issue?
The machine does start immediately after it cuts out; would a reset require a longer time?

Re: CREDA T601CW dryer no heat

    Hi Penguin45,

mmm, left the dryer on with a few damp towels last night and woke up to find…..damp towels!
The machine definately does do the reverse spin every now and again!
During the run last night I did notice that the heater casing was kind of cyclic in temperature; it would get up to a hot condition (although not what I would call “I need to remove my hand now hot”) and would then return to a tepid temperature?
Is there any test method for the timers?

Ive since swapped the stats from another machine and again the heat cycles by getting hot then cools…a real shame as im not sure its financially worth repairing?

cool! (if you pardon the pun) I judt didnt know the implications of not removing the heat from the condenser unit? I ren it with a small towel only so thought things couldnt be that bad…. 😀

I’ll fit the new fan Friday and will let you know.

    Cheers again,

Hi further development, fan removed and machine briefely turned on to both forward and reverse cycles and its now the bees knees of quietness.
Part on order and will confirm results when fitted.

Thanks for all your help guys its greatly appreciated!

Re: INDESIT IS70C COND DRYER NOISY VIBRATION IN REVERSE

    Hi Helo_75 and Penguin45.

Top and side panel off, fan housing removed…when you mention that the fan should be “out of shape” in which way or direction would you mean?

Ive rotated the fan by hand but can only see a few mm of variation in the length during rotation and cannot really see anything end on? Can you tell me what I should notice/see?

    Regards, Steeve

Re: INDESIT IS70C COND DRYER NOISY VIBRATION IN REVERSE

Thanks for the reply; I have had the lid off along with the side panels (not touching dryer though) and with all sides and top removed the resonance does reduce but only fractionally – if the corners are squeezed or compressed as suggested you can reduce the noise reduces a little more but still there.
Can the fans be accessed and cleaned to reduce the noise? Regards, Steve

Re: Hotpoint Combination 8564 f/f – Inside fridge leaking wa

Hi Kenneth (sorry about the name error!)

The fridge is pretty much workings as you would expect! The tommys are kept nice and cold…I would have noticed a small cannonball in my sandwich I’m sure?
I noticed this morning that there is a very thin clear skin of ice over the evaporator at the back of the fridge.

When you mentioned insulation I initially thought of the hard plastic inside the fridge but guess this could also refer to a door seal…maybe?

Thinking also about what I noticed whilst checking; a very small amount of ice is building up on the evaporator and then defrosting (perhaps from the leak? This is running down the front face missing the drip tray channel and sitting at the base of the fridge.

Oh well, I’ll check to see if any leaks are apparent but suspect that the doorway to fridge heaven is about to open 🙂

Whilst I have a very knowledgeable person looking at my thread would you recommend the Samsung range of fridge/freezers? The Wife has seen a RL41ECPS model (without the drinks dispenser), nice unit but are they reliable?

    Thanks again for your help!

Re: Hotpoint Combination 8564 f/f – Inside fridge leaking wa

    Hi Keith,

Thanks for the information; Are the thermostats generally available as a 1st try? And I guess the over freezing a potential symptom of the stat issue?
The fridge is not in a rough environment so I’m not convinced that the insulation is damaged; I’ll have a good search and confirm if there are any splits or dents.

I quite often repair tumble driers for friends and relatives and can test them quite easily, do the fridge stats work in the same way and if so are the test’able?

    Cheers

Whirlpool AWZ 8812 Condensor Dryer steam from door/overh

    Just a quick update…..

Dognut seal arrived, back off, drum out, side panel removed and a bit of jiggery of the fan housing and the seal is now fitted.
Old seal type is extruded foam, cut and glued – new seal is moulded.

Machine now fully working and back in operation.

    Many thanks for the help.

    Steve
