Thanks Jackal.
Yes, it’s a 60cm built in cream/chrome so 7863 makes sense.
Just out of interest for the future as I’m a newbie, do you mind if I ask which website/other info you used to get to these fan part numbers from the model number? I’ve only ended up with a ‘stock number’ of 5045-1732-8998-7 when I tried which I’m guessing is different from the ‘Part Number’ 😕

Hi,
Mean’t to report whether this siliconing in was easy or hard, but as it turned out they hadn’t actually done a flush fit in this particular kitchen despite it being a flush fit hob. It was simply sat on the top with four blobs of silicone holding it in underneath. So, a very easy swap over and picked up a dishwasher and oven job whilst I was there … easy money indeed 😀
Thanks again for all the advise. I was at least confident that I could do the flush fit when I turned up even though it wasn’t needed. I would have been worrying about it without your input.

Thanks for the advise, it is much appreciated. Not the normal fit so it sounds like I’m going to have to allow myself a good few hours if the job goes ahead 🙁 I found some Otto Seal S70 sealant on the web which isn’t too expensive and is garaunteed not to cause any staining on natural stone, so i’ll probably use that.
Thanks again,

Thanks K.
Normally yes, but this particular NEFF appliance does not have mounting brackets or clamps. It’s a flush fit type which you have to drop into the correct size recess and then silicone round the gap at the edges. This is specified in the manufacturers installation instructions as the correct way to fit.
