Thanks Dave. Rear access looks to be fairly simple. Front may be more of a challenge. Any tips?

Re: siemens iq700 washing machine softener pump

Thanks very much for that. Yes, the softener pump is clogged, and the softener is congealed. So I’ll strip it down and see what I can do. Can’t get any worse!

Thanks. It still seems odd that it only trips after a few minutes, rather than immediately the oven is turned on.

Re: Falcon 211 GEO Oven tripping circuit breaker

Just tested it with the multimeter. As soon as I touched live and earth with the probes the breaker tripped (obviously the power to the cooker was OFF). Before I reset the breaker I tested and there is no measurement between live or neutral and earth. Oven control was ON

Re: Falcon 211 GEO Oven tripping circuit breaker

I have two ovens, one convection, the other fan assisted. It’s the convection oven that’s tripping the breaker. I’ll get my multimeter and check

Forgot to add, the element was replaced by the service agents 4 years ago. I don’t use that oven often, as I prefer the fan oven on the right side.

Re: Falcon 211 GEO Oven tripping circuit breaker

Many thanks for your reply on Christmas Day!!!

It trips the main power to the entire floor. I assume it’s a RCD and it is very sensitive as it doesn’t trip the cooker MCB on the fuse board. The element is new, as I replaced it today. Still trips. It happened a year ago (at Christmas again) and I’ve only just got around to ordering and replacing the bottom element. According to the manual, there are two thermostats. One inside the oven to control temperature, and one somewhere else at the back to ensure temperature doesn’t overheat other components.
