Re: Look at what you’re missing

i am totaly shocked at this post. i had adds in yellow pages witch completley failed to generate any decent ammount of work and i even went to work for avonline ( telewest subcontractor ) for a few months but looking at becomming self employed again. im shure this site can easily generate far more work that what the yellow pages paid add’s could ever do. i did spot my wv10 postcodes on the list. and many more i am able to travel to. can anybody offer any help or advice on going back into self employment advertising and maybe subcontracting work please.

does sound like a door switch. if one switch is faulty and allows microwave to run on when door is about to be opend anouther microswitch shorts from ground to live to make shure the fuse blows.
normaly 2 or 3 switches on the doors but check them all. normaly only one dies.

yup mines a vauxhall engine 🙁 the car has only done 35000 miles so far i brought it with slight accident damage witch was headlight bumper and a wing. friends of mine at an accident center repaired it. and first few months car had an oil leak from the end crank seal behind the fly wheel. had that fixed now its leaking oil from the sump. and a front brake rattles when driving. but this started after getting car back from garage to have end crank seal changed. 😥

i honestly would not know what to do without UKW,
ever question i have posted there is about 3 or 4 people who can reply saving time and money for both customer and myself.
and i have often asked questions not even related to white goods and people have been kind enough to advise me. even post me manuls for an alarm i brought.
and yes i agree with Chris 2 am is great time to be posting messages
thanks UKW you realy make a hard low paid fustrating job realy enjoyable.

Re: What do you love about this job ?

i have worked previousley for tv and video repair shops even installing satellite dishes. and moved on to house wiring and slowly into this game
best bit must be the traveling around new places and meeting the married ladys 8) ( when the husbands are at work ) ive also worked subcontracting for a larger appliance repair company when there engineer was off with a bad back doing well over 120 miles a day with at least 12 breakdowns. the money helped but with work like that it makes people think twice about the work. but its all good fun. way better than any factory or booring shop work. 😀
