ParticipantProbably failure of the small electronic board behind the control panel. Pressing start should activate run relay on the board. Replacement only option.

ParticipantWe’ve got loads of these in the city centre blocks, regular problems are timer, module, timer AND module, p/system and tacho magnet falling off. Contact Tony at EMW for very reasonable replacement of timers and modules on an exchange basis.
BTW, timer advance is totally controlled by digiboard – Dave is quite right.

ParticipantNah, it’s a two finger Bleckman. Quite right to change thermistor though, they can be very model specific. The Hotpoint one does interchange with the Bauknecht one though.

ParticipantDF53 is a digi Bosch-clone IIRC – most likely triac failure on PCB. Can be valve failure, but unlikely with Eaton type valve.
