01450 2655 is the Irish number – make sure you tell them you’re trade – you’ll get a bit knocked off the price.

DAS5-b wrote:Hi, Just to let you know that the Hotpoint OpenSpace is available and all models are out in the market now. If you go to the Hotpoint Website there is a link through to a dedicated OpenSpace site, whcih will list your local suppliers, so you can see one in the ‘flesh’ Hope this helps.
Hmmm – bit blatant – poster has an @indesit.com addy.

No info, Baz, sorry. The later ones are using a flow meter and no p/sw at all. Rob’s probably seen a few by now…

The machine shares the lock with the 1242W. That lock has destroyed 10s of 1000s of Hotpoint WMA’s over the years when it blows. Basically, it doesn’t “snap back” cleanly when it disengages. This particular machine, I’d change the lock to the current Hotpoint one and swap the top board. Keep it – it’ll probably be absolutely fine in the next machine that needs one.

ParticipantRe: Bosch SGS42 not starting
The first action of any programme should be to run the drain pump. This will be followed by fill – when water level is attained, the circulation pump should kick in. On a main wash sequence, the dispenser will fire and the water should be heated.
If none of the above is happening, I’d be looking at the door switch mechanism; and if that is working, possibly the PCB.
Full model number would be useful, please.
Power off if you’re dealing with this yourself.

The original “Ocean” brand. They’re quite light – now, a proper Newpol Super 800 – that was a heavy brute!
Waits for comments from really old engineers…… :innocent:
