ParticipantRe: WFL2066 – control board fault…?
Righto – I’m gonna pop over there tomorrow and try to do this myself – firstly have a play with the switch and secondly see if the board is wet – and dry it out (where would I find the board by the way? Behind the control panel?
Thing is, it hasn’t run constantly – at most for a minute while changing the programmes to see if it kick starts it back into life.
Not sure what you mean about smart cards…. (sorry).
Is there a way to check fault codes on these?
Cheers again everyone!

ParticipantRe: WFL2066 – control board fault…?
Had a go at cleaning the pipe (which was blocked apparently my dad said) and cleared the switch too….. but still no joy – machine is just stuck trying to pump water.
Does it sound like the PCB is screwed? And if so, can it be replaced by a non-technician and at what cost..? π
Thanks everyone.

ParticipantRe: WFL2066 – control board fault…?
Thanks DJ, will have a go at that. What is that switch?
Just some further info – the noise is basically the pump running trying to drain the water…. but there is no water to drain….. adn it won’t respond to any of the controls to start/spin etc…. just (pump??) keeps running.
My dad had to turn the machine upside down to get the motor and brushes out – could that have caused this issue??
Cheers again

ParticipantOk, will do…. also, the link to the manuals you posted (thanks again)… I don’t have the full number, but WFF2000 brings up abouta dozen different manuals…. none of which are unfortuantly in English…. doh!
Maybe if I put the correct number in when I get home and check it it will come up….

ParticipantThanks chaps.. do you think it’s the pump at fault…? Should I (and can I??) remove the pump entierly and give it a throough clean? Any other parts int hat area that could be casuing the issue that I should “attack” while I’m down there….?
Many thanks – and thanks for the instruction link!

ParticipantRe: Diplomat AHY36 (620) oven – not heating – element proble
I didn’t give up in the end and had an engineer come out to look at it.. it turns out that the problem lies with the main selector (board?) behind the central knob. One of the connectors had totally burnt out – even melting the plastic around it! π―
As it’s an MFI oven, I offered to get the part myself and the engineer would come back an install it…. does ukwhitegoods store main selectors for an AHY3610?
Cheers

ParticipantThanks mate and everyone else – but I think I might just claim on home contents insurance as it may turn out to be too much hassle than it’s worth and G/f is screaming for a new oven now!!

ParticipantSorry chaps – I did not get a chance to do that as advised – I understand that it would have been the correct proceedure – so I apologise. Even though I can change the cams in an engine, I’m a bit lost when it comes to electricity and even working a multimeter….
