no they do stay energised until the door is opened as some dryers when off do the intermittent tumble…
they relay is only a means of interlock for when door is opened.
i got puzzled at first when i heard a coil buzz but quick look at drawings and a new relay later all sorted….
    cheers recall

The only time ive ever had to get at the chamber is once in 10 years, the only reason for that is fluff was holding the float up when empty..
very quick way to clear valve which ive done before is to drain the chamber from rear, fill bottle full slide into position and slap it fully home, water pressure blows the fluff out of the back hole..
but recommend full strip down though.. (use the other method if youre in those houses you wipe feet on your way out, and dont want to lay down) 😉

Re: Frozen Veg in Crisper of Hotpoint FF Fridge/Freezer FFA7

if heavy frost/ice uniform on back poss module but had a couple of diverter valves block allowing cooling on freezer only cycles.
not sure how much modules are. prob best to get hpt out…

FYI tho they run on fuzzy logic. i.e. they switch comprssor and diverter on and off to factory defaults until it saves a better on off pattern to attain the selected temps.. if you get me… it uses this then if a thermistor fails to carry on as normal, but it cant tell if thermistor drifts…

theres a kit that indesit fse have to fit which comprises of a new felt panel and some boots to fit on the element terminals, also removing the side felt panels.
so poss due to the m/c leaking (as they do) and felt conducting en vola! fire!!
