I know i do trust what you guys say, what I am saying though is the tesco value tablets for instance have been voted a hot buy in which magazine.

How come they can overfoam on other machines when the table top dishwashers are most likely to overfoam?

I bought some tesco value tablets today, they are even smaller than the pound shop ones and there is no foam at all, they wash perfectly.

You would think that the impellars would be made out of something indestructable like they used to do on the dirty fan motor vacuums.

I meant that I use salt in the water softener compartment not in the detergent area.

I just meant that although the tablets i have contain salt and rinse aid i still use them separatly as well!

I had the same problems previously with my dishwasher when using finish powder, it just doesnt seem to do the trick at all!

SO i use these cheapy tablets now from the £1 shop they work really well.

have u checked ur filters are clean and even the fine filters are spotless.

Try taking them out and washing them under high pressure with a scrubbing brush ensure they are spotless and no dirt on them, if they are clogged up then u may find that the pump can not pull as much water through them resulting in lower pressure through the spray arms.

CHeck your filters all fit tight and snug if there are gaps then it may be spraying the dirt back up onto the plates etc.

I get brown marks left behind on some cuttlery but Im told this is down to the cuttlery itself, they are kind of like rust marks but they rub off with a scratch and a cloth. Apparently im using cheap cuttlery!

After i gave the filters a good clean and now im sticking to the cheap tablets it works fine and washes everything really well unless i have overfilled the machine.

Why are tesco value tablets being discontinued?

I use the £1 shop tablets they are smaller than other tablets like finish and they incorporate rinse aid and salt apparently, however I still use separate rinse aid and salt in my dishwasher as reccomended by most people on the forum.

Now I know what your thinking the cheap £1 shop tablets cant be that good but really for every day washing up, breakfast pots, dinner and tea they are fine, I have not had to put anything back through. They are £1 for 20tablets. If however I do have a sunday dinner and there are lots I still use the cheap tablets and just put it on an intensive wash it washes perfect unless ive overfilled it and that where it doesnt wash properly!

Re: Bosch SKT5002 – still working but noisy

I guess though in a smaller machine these small tablets work ok in the ammount of water they wash in.

I was also told by an engineer that cheap detergents dont contain the lubricants that help lubricate the seal of the wash pump impeller?

    Is this true?

Re: Bosch SKT5002 – still working but noisy

Penguin 45, is this true even for the cheap cheap tablets that are tiny and they clearly dont put as much detergent in them, my mum gave me them cos she said they didnt wash properly in her full size dishwasher and my dad says its because they are too small.

I weight them out and there is little more in them than the ammount of powder I would put in anyway, i guess because they are cheap they use the least detergent!

I have the same dishwasher, i get this whinning noise when i have used finish tablets in the past, upon opening the door there is tonnes of foam but little water circulation going on.

I have since started using the cheap pound shop tablets, work perfectly there small enough to fit in the dispenser and no foaming, cleans very well.

I also use salt and rinse aid in my dishwasher.

I only paid £70 for my machine if it fails ill just buy a brand new one.

    Guess what!

I have tried all those cleaning methods, I used bleach squeezed into the hole and then used a spray bottle on the jet mode to clean it, it is spotless, there was a slight build up before but is now spotless.

It seems that sometimes it sticks sometimes it doesnt and it always seems to be on the final rinse that it does this.

I took the casing off, followed from the drain hose at the back and it linked upto this sort of plastic thing that had some sort of a one way valve in that opened when it was draining, at the top of that was like a float thingy that seemed to go up when it was pumping out under pressure, there was a little bit of black dirt in the top so cleaned it and flushed it through, however i noticed that this float thingy doesnt always drop back down like it shud when there is no water to drain out and a tap with a screwdriver it drops back down again. So put it back together and tested it, first wash again and on the last rinse program it was siphoning again, really dont know what to try next???

Anyone know which part is from the diagram because I want to fix it today, I had it on last night and in the rinse cycle it drained itself again!

I may attempt to do this tomorrow, of course I will unplug it first, am I gonna have to remove any motors or anything to get to the piece causing the problem? How simple is this?

Found the exploded view on bosch website can you highlight the part number i need to be looking at:
