Thank you
richardc1983
ParticipantThats great thank you.
How much would that be?
I have taken off the clue etc and theres a slight bit of rust under the trim which makes it look a bit untidy.
A new trim would be best!!!

Participant£65 on recondtion of the motor bearing of these washers is cheap compared to a terrible budget machine that doesnt rinse properly from the likes of currys or argos.
he says its in really good condition and worth doing up as will continue to out last any other washer.
The drum he says is totally sound, silent in fact, bearings in great condition and the drum is about 5 yrs old perhaps he says its got loads of life in it yet!

Ok so the washer has arrived.
Done 3 loads tonight.
Then I put it on a maintenance 95C wash.
All went through the cycle ok but then it came to program G and the timer seemed to get stuck on it, the timer wasnt buzzing or anything so not sure what happened, the machine was full of water and I had to advance the timer on by hand to get it to empty.
Anyway spinning then sounded really noisy (hadnt been noisy all night) and it sounded like the belt was slipping at spin start up… and this was with no washing in.
Afterwards I spinned the drum by hand and there was resistance when I turned it but maybe these older washers feel that way anyway?

ParticipantRe: AEG Lavamat 72630 how good are they
Oh ok so perhaps a smaller load but I bet it washes better! I want one that uses more water really! Prefer the older ones myself!
richardc1983
ParticipantWell I am thinking possibly go for the hoover one and if it lasts 6 months I can buy another at some other time.
plus its free and they might drop it off for me too.
OUt of interest what load size can you put in the hoover?
richardc1983
ParticipantYeh thats true.
THe AEG is being sold because they are moving house and I am assuming it is because the new place is integrated.
