ParticipantHi Dave. Yeah, that’s it timer surround. Have you got one. :p

ParticipantYeah look the same to me and numbers on the valve seem to match up. Think I’ll just go for it and fit the one I’ve got. I had ordered the correct part number one from Bosch and didn’t realise it has to come from Germany when ordering so not going to arrive in time for the job. Thanks all for help really appreciate it. 😉

ParticipantThanks Graham. I really appreciate your advice. I did have a quick look on top but it was all covered and no obvious way underneath. I also started to take the front off but couldn’t see how to get behind it. I was going to take the back off and see if there was any space between the cavity and use a magnet to position but I ran out of time. When I go back at least I have another way of attack with the cord, Many thanks.

ParticipantWent out and had a look can’t see anyway to get to the roller catch it’s between the two ovens.
Can anyone please help or offer any advice.

ParticipantThanks, makes sense now. I’ll get that one. I really do appreciate your time in helping me get to the bottom of it.

ParticipantSorry Dave but is that the correct part number 082604904. Confused.com, it don’t take much.:D

ParticipantLooks more like 5031683090304 [h=1][/h]

ParticipantThanks for that, The number on the part was 48er101c1p40/05c. The extra terminal was where the two tags are in the pic you can see.

ParticipantWent out, couldn’t find anything obvious. I changed the door catch as I felt the a new catch might be stronger to hold it shut. I tried pulling at the door and it didn’t stop the machine.
So it’s a suck it and see job. All good when I left and I’ve not had a call back since. Fingers crossed.rolf
ParticipantThanks. I was hoping for a miracle cure!!!!
I suspect the hinges only reason I asked was because I remember reading about different strength springs which are colour coded. I’m going out to it later might try and modify the hinge with Percy sledge and take a closer look at hinge bearing. I’ll let you know how I go. Thanks for you advice.

ParticipantLooks like I need to go and stick my head in the oven. Thanks.

ParticipantHow much do they charge for it Dave.
