Why don’t you trust your repair man?

Hi, I thought pump too but it pumps out fine and the fault occurs during the rinse/wash cycles also when water should be in the drum

    Re: Bosch wfx2867gb/10 spin fault

Some times the motor will run as normal, others it will just run for half a second then pause till the direction change. Many years ago I used to work for a rental company repairing washers but I don’t remember a fault like this and I can’t think its worth buying a new timer unit to find out if it is that.

    Anyone have any thoughts?

If you’ve done all that then it sounds like it doesn’t have one, just do a quick cold wash first?

If your not doing it your self get a few quotes as the labour charge would make it uneconomic at that age.

Water anywhere, has it cracked the drum. Personally I’d be arguing a case that it was inherently faulty at the time of purchase and there for the shop is liable

Looks like the pump motor, can you see the pump blades when you clean the filter? If not take the pipe off and look in the pump. But do spin the drum by hand and check for play in case it’s the drum bearings. All with it unplugged of course!

Have you tried a boil wash? Perhaps it only uses hot then. a lot of washers don’t use hot at all so if it works fine otherwise I would not worry about it

An alternative if you can’t get hold of a mega would be to disconnect the positive and negative from the heater ( not the stat or earth), make sure they are well insulated so that it can not short out then run the machine. But if you are unsure leave well alone. If the machine works (cold) then you know it wad the heater

Thanks for the tip, pump/drain is fine. I’ve taken the brushes out and cleaned the armature and
It seams to work now but I have a feeling that won’t be the last of it

Actually it just seams to flick over and stop each time the motor goes
