Am I the only one who spotted the spelling mistakes on that picture of the manual ?
‘After 10 failed attempets..stoped to spin because of to high an umbalance‘ ??
Hee hee 😀
The ISE machines are good at self preservation, I think that most of us are just use to all other machines blindly going ahead with a wash and spin regardless of whether it will knacker the machine or not !!

How much washing was in the machine ?
I found a couple of times it stopped and when i pulled some of the waterlogged washing out the entire load was pretty damn heavy so maybe the load was too heavy during the main wash cycle so it didnt progress ??

ParticipantRe: Question for folks with an ISE 10 / 1607
I have an ise10 and have it positioned about 100 mm out from the back wall – this is mainly due to wanting to leave plenty of clearance around the waste water standpipe at the back and the waste piping leading to my utility sink.
Your normal worktops are 600mm deep so it depends if you want the washer to be fully under the work surface or sticking out a bit.

I would love Economy 7 over here on the island but we still have to pay the full 15.6 pence per KW whatever the time of day !!

ParticipantRe: ISE10 1607w in the house!
I have one of the older ISE10 models and found that you have to get the arrangement of the machine right to minimise noise.
The simple fact of the matter is that the ISE10 uses more long lasting parts compared with other models (metal vs plastic) obviously metal will transmit sound more readily than plastic so the machine can end up sounding louder than your old / another washing machine.
Is this such an issue – do you have to have silent machines ???
I did have some issue with the right hand arm of the drop down door panel though – in that if the door panel was pushed into the machine then it used to make a hell of racket on spin mode (side of the chassis was rattling against the arm of the drop down door when pushed in.
A bit of a djustment with the feet to make sure it was level both back to front and side to side seems to have rectified the issue.

ParticipantRe: ISE10 washer questions
This issue is as K said, the door is connected to the tub and not the outer chassis when you close it.
What this means is that the tub moves when you shut the door and so ‘absorbs’ some of the energy used to shut the door.
In essence there is a nack to shutting the door which is more akin to ‘slamming’ it shut.
Hope this helps.

ParticipantRe: ISE10 washer questions
Hi Gareth
Just thought I would add a note to your second issue on clothes with wicking properties etc.
I have an ISE10 and wear a lot of synthetic clothes for cycling and running – I use a liquid soap detergent (Nikwax basewash) designed for cleaning base layers and wicking clothes.
When purchasing the ISE, I was supplied with a little plastic adapter for the soap dispensing drawer which allows the use of liquid detergents so I can now set the machine for a sythentic wash, pour the liquid in the dispensing drawer and hit start then walk away.

ParticipantRe: ISE 10 Review (Hope It Helps!)
Another ISE 10 owner here !!
I am very happy with the washer and I think I end up using it more than the missus !!!
The loud filling is due to the metal drum and the household water pressure – our cold mains is at about 4.5 bars !!
We had a few initial hiccups mainly down to ‘user’ error :
Having the drain hose without enough of a loop causing the endless fill and empty fault !!
And a few times the washer has finished but left the clothes soaking wet – pretty sure this is down to the machine sensing the load is too heavy to go into a spin cycle ?!?
But the cleaning is faultless and my atheltics clothes hardly take any time to dry due to the spin cycle getting them half dry after the wash !!!
So very pleased with the machine and the only non machine issue I had was that I had to ring ISE to pay for the machine as it was delivered before I paid for it !!!

ParticipantRe: ISE10 installation
Hey biffa
The ISE machine is so well designed that you don’t really ‘need’ a demo – its incredicbly straightforward and gives you the ability ot adjust temp and spin for any type of wash cycle.
Best to familiarise yourself with the pdf manual – http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/downloads/ise/ISE1606W{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}20User{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}20Manual.pdf
This explains most things.
I installed the machine myself as its just as case of attached the cold fill pipe / plug (or into blanked fcu socket) and the drain hose into a standpipe preferably rather than drain spigot.
If the delivery company will do it for you though then great !
Really is a great machine and have recently ‘persuaded’ the missus to move to Ariel powder than from the supermarket bargain stuff.

ParticipantRe: Miele platinum plus or ISE 10
Last time I spoke to David Quinn at ISE they had them in stock and we got ours very quickly.
So far I am very impressed with the machine and I have been convincing my wife to choose a better washing powder than the best buy at the supermarket brand !!
The issue with Miele has always been the servicing/call out costs etc and price of parts. This was one of the main concepts behind ISE.
I certainly haven’t regretted the choice of the ISE 10.

ParticipantRe: ISE 10 stuck on emptying and filling with 39 mins remain
I moved the drain hose to a separate standpipe section last night and blanked of the spigot under the sink.
The machine appears to be working fine now – must have been the hose layout under the sink causing a gravity drain due to height levels etc.
But all sorted now !!
Thanks for all the info and help K.

Hi K
I advised my wife to drain the system and when I rang her a minute ago she had then set it rinse and spin to see if it worked.
It appears that the ISE10 rinsed ok and then went onto a spin cycle ok…BUT the spin cycle was VERY noisy according to my wife.
The VERY noisy spin cycle has happened once before when the machine display went blank half way through a wash cycle – Conditioner was still in the tray.
I will be moving the drain hose to a separate standpipe section of drain this weekend.

Hi Ken
Funnily enough I just got through to David and he is going to pop one in the post to me today !!
Great stuff !!

ParticipantRe: ISE 10 Keeps showing an old wash cycle ??!!
If this is a much better way for the machine to drain, then I can quite easily sever the plastic drain pipe from the sink and add in an upright section as the pipework runs behind the washer anyway and I could put an end cap over the under sink spigot connection.
if you could provide all the ‘cheats’ that would be great !!!
Thanks again

ParticipantRe: ISE 10 Keeps showing an old wash cycle ??!!
Thanks Ken
The missus is busy catching up on washing after the old Tricity Bendix died a death a couple of weeks ago – pump problems followed by a pressure issue and lots of soap out of the dispenser drawer !!!
Quick question but is there a preferred orientation for the drain hose – I have it currently from the washer down a small loop then back up through the under sink cupboard and then down into the pipework under the sink.
It seems to be draining fine but just wondered if there was a preferred way of setting up the drain hose.
Also is it ok for myself to adjust the rinse option from 3 – 5 via the press and hold option ??
Thanks
Shady
