ParticipantRe: Firenzi Door Grinding Hinges
Hi
Just had the sides of my dishwasher (Whirlpool ADG 957 )both brake blocks collapsed and both metal door straps snapped. The problem i have now is that even when i get new parts i’ve no idea how they fit,i understand how the straps fit to the hinge and the other end connects to the large springs , what i can’t figure out i where does the free end on the spring hook on the the body of the dishwasher.
And then how do the brake blocks fit?
Any help in the method of putting all back together would be appreciated, pictures if possible please.
Thanks in anticipationP.S. The reason i cant figure out the hooking point for the springs is that both springs where adrift when i took the sides off.
P.P.S. at least the door now fully opens and i can use it rather than get my hands back in the sink full of pots and pans.

I also have this grinding noise on my Whirlpool ADG 957 dishwasher, but the door does not now fully open, could this be the same fault or is it likely to be something different?
thanks in anticipation

ParticipantRe: Whirlpool ADG 957 door won’t close.
Just spotted this on the search I did.
I’m having the same problem and would appreciate some advice. To get at the following items
4812 404 48591 – brake (the “C” shape things) x 2
4812 401 18397 – brake band – the metal strip
4812 417 18773 – door hinge right
4812 417 18774 – door hinge left
Is it just a matter of removing both side panels and they are on view ?Also do i need to remove the decor door to do this job?
Thanks in anticipationsmudge450

Clive
I’m sorry to labour this point.
but when i open the door fully the only screws i can see are five phillips screws on each side and they appear to be holding the inner stainless steel panel , the panel with the powder and rinse agent compartment in.
Are they the ones?
