Re: Hoover New Wave drum lifters

It’s ridiculous to make these obsolete with so many of these New wave/soft wave/ classicas out there running strongly. I’ve managed to get the last 1 paddle out of espares stock so i’ll keep digging for another 2. Not junking this machine.

    Re: Free Dyson 5yr Guarantee!

further to the point i made earlier about people loving dysons, I’ve just come bak from the hairdressers (local gossip shop n blue rinse affair) full of ladies and they all own Dysons, some more than one.

They all said the same thing. Never had such good service from a company, love the cleaner , some had been troublesome but they didn’t care, the aftersales was so good and they think the cleaners are wonderfull. Even my mother has a dc04 thats required a few repairs and you cant take it out to clean the car because the base cracks too easily on the driveway. But she loves it, and wants me to supply a dc14 animal soon. Wont even consider anything else. Now then what was that about hypnotic??? or is there subliminal messeges played out as you vacuum???? “you will love my Dyson, you will only ever buy a Dyson”

    lol

i have to say i have quite a few freinds and family with Dysons old and new. They love them and even if they have had a repair say Dyson were wonderful and would buy another. They have affection for Mr Dyson and his funky cleaners and that is something lacking these days in electrical goods. I mean can anyone really say they love their Indesit! ouch! i dont think.

Re: Hoover new wave drum spider

Thanks Andy. well i’ll look at it next week when i’m feeling brave. The problem with this is the gunk n stuff stuck behind the spider. Now whats the hole in the centre back of the drum for and where does it go. This is really gunked up and bits keep coming out of it during the wash straight into the drum. is there a gap there or is it the other end of the spider shaft. The spider shows no rust on it and the bearings are perfect etc so it must just be build up thats coming onto the clothes through this hole. Any ideas anyone (trying to avoid removing the rivets). Power washer or steam cleaner wud maybe do the trick?

Re: Hoover new wave drum spider

yeah the cost of a whole drum is not worth it but the machine is like new. it is riveted on. i’ll see what i can do with it . Maybe blast it with something to get the gunk out. also i see on connections the drum paddles for the new wave soft wave range are now obsolete! I’ve got some here though so at least thats something.

    Thanks

New wave plus 5 model A2120. The spider is listed seperatly to the drum on connections. either drum or spider with bearing kit or spider on its own.

    Re: thomson twintub

I’ve been selling Thompson twin tubs for about two years and found them pretty good. Started out with the non drain pump model and then the current X10 version with a pump and better build quality. I’ve had a few failures on the spinner side which is a bit of a weakness in these machines. However lots of customers have been very happy with them and i’ve put a few wheeled ones out for old ladies who can’t move it. Thompsons are good at sorting faulty machines if you take them back. There was a huge proft in them but there is a price war on ebay over them and what was selling for £299 is now anything from £139-£169 region which is just silly so I don’t sell them at present as it’s not worth the hassle.

ok thanks i’ve found the Hotpoint sandwich type for it as the same ones. Cracking machine this quartz 16 years old and looks as new inside out just dances around the floor a bit . No spin sensor in those days lol wonder if we’ll ever see a 16 year old Indes##t w103 in the future. Not!

Ok it turned out to be the pressure switch. Changed that first and problem vanished. Replaced the fill valve too to stop it filling when switched off. Thanks all. What a heap of junk this machine is!

    Re: Indesit w103 F8 fault

Awaiting temp sensor and pressure switch to arrive. Machine is filling up on own when not switched on as well now even with drain hose disconnected so I know its not syphoning. Have ordered cold fill valve as well. Parts are cheap as chips for this machine and I can see why! Will update when i’ve got the parts. At least it still washes once its decided it wants to so there is no huge laundry pile building up.

    Re: Indesit w103 F8 fault

ok i’ll look at the thermister next and pressure switch etc. Wiring seems ok. It takes about 2-4 goes to get it to fill and run ok without it going wrong and it empties sometimes about two mins after its filled or sometimes during filling. Its a rather inconsistant fault and they are the worst to pin down!

Sold loads of Thompson twin tubs over the past 18 months ,infact could barely keep up with the demand. They are blooming good machines too, get the washing very clean and with a drain pump to boot! More of this please.

Re: To whom it may concern @ the Indesit Company

Has any press or tv program picked up on the goods turned out by them. If not it won’t be long before someone gets hold of this. There must be loads of disgruntled customers with these machines out there all festering away. Ebay is usually full of nearly new Indesit models that are broke. In fact if you scan through the various brands of machines for sale they are generally all in working order apart from Indesit evolutions and so on. Usually bearings or module or something else. How long can it be before this way of doing business ruins the Indesit name which they now proudly display with Hotpoint. Wake up! but Its probably already too late! How difficult is it to make a reliable washing machine when you’ve been building them since time began or don’t you give a toss!
