    Re: Subcontracting-whats a fair price?

I was offered subcontract work with a major electrical company earlier this year.
Prior to the informal chat with the management, I worked out that if I was using my own van & public liability insurance, £20 for a PR (parts required) and £40 for a (capped) completed job was a fair request.
The manager had other ideas. £10 per job with PAYE & they would allow me 36p a mile for the first 10,000 miles!
Believe it or not, this offer was on par with the annual wage of their top engineers. For obvious reasons I declined their offer…

    Re: Genuine parts

In the last year i’ve been back to replace two pattern oven elements that failed within weeks of fitting them.
Genuine elements for me in the future.
In Masterpart’s defence, they listened, sorted the problem & credited my account immediately.

    Re: New Van

I spent months looking for a van before deciding on a T5 SWB.
It’s been a brilliant, returns around 45mpg & if it had wings it would fly with the 2.5 TDI engine. I’ll be getting another for sure…

    ChrisR,
I’ve had this problem many times on Whirlpool/Diplomat dishwashers in that the machine fills for a few seconds and then drains.
Every possiblity you will need a Reg dosage (part number 481241868368)
The electrial connection gets contaminated and may just need a clean.
More than likely the wheel at the base of the reg dosage has failed
Also check drip tray for flooding

Re: Business Bank Account v Personal Accounts

Barclays Personal Account works for me as a sole trader.
I opened a personal account eighteen months ago for my business after taking advice from one of their personal bankers & haven’t paid a penny in bank charges to this day.
I visit the bank once or twice a week & pay each job in individually which annoys the hell out of the cashiers who have to log each transaction! Having confirmed a 6 billion pound profit yesterday, Barclays staff can earn their wages!

The motor is a fully electronically controlled 80V, 60W, 3 phase. 6 pole brushless DC motor, running on wash at 2300 – 2850rpm depending on the cycle selected and at approximately 4200 rpm on Drain. The rotor is a four pole permanent magnet rotor with a graphite bearing at each end of the vertical shaft, At the lower end of the rotor is the drain impelllor and at the other end is the wash impellor.

The Element is clamped in place by a lockring nut and supports the motor at the base of the tub. The lockring nut holds the heater plate into the base of the tub and the motor housing assembly to form a watertight seal.

Re: Looking for employment in the Hampshire area

    Grafter…
I’m not sure if WHL have plugged the gap in the Hampshire SP1 – SP11 postcodes yet.
Having resigned, I understand my area was transferred to a franchise in the South West, so a phone call in that direction might prove beneficial.
In addition, my old colleague in the DT postcodes has also recently left, so you may be able to choose your area!
    Hope this helps…
