Send me a few grand and I’ll PM you his address. 😉
THIS IS A LOAD OF RUBBISH – RECENTLY THREE KIRBY SALES REPS HAVE BEEN REPORTED TO THE POLICE FOR DEFERMATION OF CHARACTER REGARDING THIS TWADDLE. JUST THOUGHT I WOULD CLEAR THIS MATTER UP – CHEERS 😆

Re: Hoover (Gias) Engineers No Work

Hoover have no service engineers in North Wales and now send in engineers from Bolton, Birmingham and all over to cover. Feel really sorry for the guys as I did 17 years with them before seeing the light. 😈

    Re: Expert Appliance Care

I am reading all this and am deeply saddened by the whole thing – I really do hope that the engineers left – and the call takers have found employment elsewhere, I witnessed – in my opinion – a gross, poorly managed system of good spares / tools going to waste in those large skips previously mentioned. The whole problem with Expert could of been resolved – if the correct personnel were contacted and the company had diversified into other appliances EXPERT APPLIANCE CARE – NOTE THE WORD APPLIANCE. Luckily I have found employment with a major manufacturer, and sincerely hope that my fellow ex-collegues can also find work.
Good luck to all the staff at Expert……

    Re: Expert Appliance Care

Personally I would say that if you have all that experience then you are indeed multiskilled. The ones with the problems to sort are the engineers who have come from the training school as purely refrigeration biased engineers. Microwaves have been few and far between, the dryer market was only on one brand, recent moves to semi commercial market – very useful but will this be required by mainly domestic market.
As a fellow EAC engineer – I wish you every sucess in the future.

Alex, I agree with you totally – I cannot understand the engineers who don’t want to or won’t diversify into other areas, I hope pride does not come before a fall.

    Re: Expert Appliance Care

For the next few days – I am an EAC engineer – but I am going to a major manufacturer for employment 🙂
Personally I am at a loss – the refrigeration work is soon to be picking up with the warmer weather etc, but figures show that during winter / cooler periods – work will slacken off. It must be in everyones interest – who are going self employed – to be multi skilled covering all domestic appliances – surely this is the only way to guarantee (if indeed you can guarantee) regular work / income.
Quote from one of my collegues…” The only engineers not going self employed are the engineers who have no confidence in their abilities” unquote, it seems a bad case of verbal dioreha to me a doctor is definitly required 😕
I have been in the trade for some 25 years and have every confidence in my abilities, but again – living rurally and with a family to support and ever increasing bills, self employment at short notice would be a mistake.
I must take this opportunity to wish all my collegues every sucess with whatever they do in the future, I have met some great characters in EAC and agree there are some excellent engineers here.
I sincerely hope that the – “some will win, some will loose” said previously could be be “All will win!” 🙄

    Re: Expert Appliance Care

You are very lucky expertcat to be able to say that you can afford to work without 3 months pay. Some engineers will not get any redundancy pay from EAC and so any outlay at all will immediatly put them in debt. I am also an EAC engineer with a large family and mortgage to suit – other problem is I work a rural area that would be impossible to make money without diversifying into other appliances, and at such short notice – not building a customer base etc unimaginable. I wish all my collegues at EAC all the best in their futures and GTI every sucess in their venture – I personally am not a risk taker—:plug:

Motor faults are not common with this appliance – 98{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} probability that the rear tub / bearing / shaft has failed. If you call Hoover they have the spares on the van and if it is deemed a motor problem – that will be replaced with a 12 month guarantee. There is no limit to the number of spares that they can fit to attain a succesful repair 8)

Re: Samsung RL33BNS1 Fridge Freezer Problem

The shutter that allows a flow of chilled air to the fridge compartment is probably frozen mid turn. All you can do is defrost – then the shutter will operate without stalling- best advise – don’t leave door open 🙄

I agree with you Dave – probably 80{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the time – if the motor armature fails (flashes) it will take the delicate circuitry of the timer/module assy I speak as an ex engineer Hoover Candy 15yrs.

Was it once said that The Lord (or Gias) moves in mysterious ways, Years ago they were looking at a central location like the RAC in Birmingham, funny old world. The site in Camberslang is emense, but one hell of a way for most engineers currently based in Bolton.
