The water isn’t getting upto the drawer… after 2 mins the flood s/w will bring the light on.

Blockage in pump, hose or plastic piece that fastens to the drawer.

Have you removed the bearing and checked ??

Cos my info shows a carbon pickup on the bearing too.

Even though the plugs are coded, there is one which can be put on in the wrong place.

The result is exactly as you describe…. I know cos I’ve done it myself !!

dont agree, given what he has gone through !50 is not too much. Sure BSH would have been higher and also probably insisted on the appliance being removed first.

BSH would’ve charged £85 + part they wouldn’t insist on it being removed unless it was a seriously bad install.

Personally I’d take the cash they’re offering.

First thing is…. if it’s blown triacs, then there’s a real possibility that the new one may also go bang.

You need to find out what the triac is switching

If it needs coding there will be instructions with the new pcb.

Lee, you can be a right ar$ey get.

In 11 years of working for BSH I have NEVER had an NTC fault, of course they may go faulty, buth there are other things that are far more common to check first.

Has the OP checked the pressure chamber and sump hose as Nomad Paul suggested ?.

Those two are by far and away the most common fault for no heat.

Why bother with the test prog…. just stick it on a quickwash, the heater should come on a couple of minutes after it stops filling.

Never had an NTC fault yet.

Check continuity of dump valve on the bottom of the side chamber as these can go.

    Cheers guys

The missus took it into work and got the IT geeks that work for her to sort it 8)

I asked her what they did, but her answer was “dunno, but it works now” 😀
