    Re: Ariston A1636 Noisy Spin

    Cheers guys.

Just had a quick turn of the drum by hand and it does appear to be noisy and felt notchy. Certainly not as smooth as I would have expected it to be.

Bears all the signs of a dry or shagged bearing.

So, I’m fairly competent and have a good home appliance spares shop near, is it a job I can reasonably attempt??

    Many thanks

Cheers for that iadom. I think the higher power of the house is now thoroughly fed up with it, may veto the repair and instead make the credit card company even happier. 🙂

Re: Creda Model 48345 Concept Halogen

Haven’t got around to looking at this yet but there have been some developments since the last post. Namely, 2 more of the rings are now doing the same thing.

Is this just an unhappy coincidence that they (the regulators) are failing at the same time or is there something common to all the rings.?

Cheers iadom, everything pointed to the regulator but theres no harm in asking. 🙂

I’ll have a look myself first, if it gets too complicated I’ll look up the list.

    Thanks again.

    Re: Ariston A1636 Leaks

Just thought I’d post a follow up for this one. Three months down the line and we haven’t had a repeat of the problem yet, so it was definately the clogging of the sump/hose that was the problem.

Thanks again all and I hope this post may be of use to someone else.

    Re: Ariston A1636 Leaks

Well so far, 6-8 washes later, and no leaks as yet so it would seem to be cured….for the minute anyway! 🙂

Thanks for your help all, much appreciated.

    Re: Ariston A1636 Leaks

Had the sump hose off, it was pretty clogged around the plastic cup thing. Nothing like a sock or anything but lots of scale and hair and fluff! Cleaned all that up, and removed as much scale as we could from the pipe.

It’s all back together at the mo and the missus is running our holiday gear through it, so it’s going to get a good workout today.

I’ll post up the results later.

    Cheers all.

Sorry, I meant spin as in rotate 🙂 Not the full on spin!

I’ll have a look at the sump hose tomorrow and report back.

    Cheers all.
