ParticipantI’m glad the instructions worked. Yes, let us know if it has solved your problem.

ParticipantYes. I would replace all three.

ParticipantSounds about right. I must add that I haven’t done it for myself. The information is abridged from the service manual. Let us know how you get on.

Can I ask for some clarity on
Does this mean that the shock absorber is installed a different way to it looks at the moment? Or is this just telling me how to remove it?
Sorry, it wasn’t too clear. It’s just telling you how to remove the old one. The new one is installed in the same way as the old one.

ParticipantProcedure for replacing the left-hand front shock absorber
(seen from the base of the appliance):The two pins securing this shock absorber are inserted one opposite the
other; removing one pin from its seat does not
cause any hindrance.
Removing the other pin on the other hand requires
cutting it and inserting the new one from the opposite side.
To do that,
remove the internal pressure chamber.
Cut the pin and remove it.
Take the shock absorber out of its seat.
Turn the shock absorber stem,
so as to position the wide edge of the bushing on the opposite side to its initial
position.
Reposition the shock absorber in its seat and insert the new pin.
Reposition the internal pressure chamber in its seat, insert the pipe connecting the pressure gauge and make sure
that it is positioned correctly in its seat around the welded tub.February 9, 2021 at 12:22 am in reply to: Frigidaire Freezer Upper Drawer – FVE3803B – Looking for spare part #474980tedwards101
ParticipantI’ve found it in stock here: https://www.inter-spares.co.uk/fridgemaster/fridgemaster-refrigeration/mtrz110/top-freezer-draw.html
Unfortunately it isn’t cheap.tedwards101

ParticipantAm I right in thinking this is a Fagor/Brandt produced machine? If so, that would explain why supply of spares has dried up.

That’s either a 02-200670 or a 02-200770, built by IAR Siltal. Can’t find a manual for those but there’s a manual for the virtually identical Caple WDI1210 here: https://www.manualslib.com/manual/45860 … i1210.html

It looks like a Chinese Haier produced machine. Not very good quality.

ParticipantRe: John Lewis JLWD1613 washer dryer pump noise!
A Zanussi, Porcia factory product if my information is correct.
Electrolux bought Zanussi in 1984 and the domestic appliances division of AEG in 1994, so many brands are now made under the same roof. The German AEG factory closed around 10 years ago I believe.August 30, 2017 at 2:45 pm in reply to: New AEGs (Polish) are lighter, shallower than old (Italian) #450052tedwards101

I beg to differ on the origin of the model you quote above. It is made in Italy (Porcia factory).
