The Equalizer
ParticipantBelt has arrived, and I have fitted it as per your instructions that worked a charm, after some persuasion.
I’ve taken some photo’s, and once I can see how to upload them, I’ll do so.I’m just about to put the Dryer back together before i head off to work.
I’ll test it over the next few days.
Hopefully no more burnt clothing or busted belt

ParticipantI think it must be only the Mods that can edit a post maybe.
Its not a big issue.:pThe Equalizer
ParticipantNope sorry tried posting a screenshot, and a Word doc, and various other means, but i get the same response.
Anything above 19.5kb its not allowing to upload. The Equalizer
ParticipantI can see Quote & Flag down the bottom, but no edit.
I was trying to post a screenshot, but computer say no
The Equalizer
ParticipantOn another note, I can’t see how to edit my posts, to correct my typos?
I will have to proof read first.:rolleyes:The Equalizer

ParticipantDave
Your a life saver.
The fan is already off, the pulley wheel tensioner you speak of, is the one I replaced after breaking it last time. 2 bolts & it sort of hooks on. When the fan arrives, I’ll have a go at that. Thanks ever so.

ParticipantThe technique looks simple in the video, but there is not as much slack as he seems to have.
I’ll have to give it a go, as maybe that is my problem that the belt has to go on that way
The Equalizer
ParticipantYes that is the same as the video, but there is no way to get the belt around the pulley that way.
I’ve been routing it around the back of the pulley as to get it going the other way, I either broke the pulley or almost put a crease in the drum with the tension needed. The Equalizer
ParticipantHere’s the youtube clip https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=snWjzoV6HjI&list=PLfA9ekH8Rl5NvXSF07QmzSbrCDy6rhoxk&index=2
If you head to the 8 minute mark it shows how the belt goes around the belt tensioner.
On the machine I have, the only way to get the belt on the tensioner, was to have it go round the tensioner wheel the other way, there just isnt enough slack on the belt to go the ay in the video.
I tried, and broke the first tensioner wheel, trying to get the belt on that way using a screwdriver as leverage. The Equalizer
ParticipantThanks Gents
I’ll take a look when I fit the new belt.
The only thing i found strange is that the youtube clip I saw wanted me to fit the belt around the tensioner wheel in a wat that I could not do as the belt isnt long enough. It can only go around the tensioner the other way.
I’ll post a link to the YouTube clip if I’m allowed.

ParticipantHi All
Day 3 with new Thermostats in, and so far they havent tripped out!
So Although I wouldn’t say that its sorted, it’s looking pretty good.
So I’d like to thank Electrofix Dave, and Kaibart for their valuable advice.
Regards
Simon

Participantor might as well have

ParticipantHey Kaibart & Dave
I hadn’t thought about the Condensation. Good point, thanks Dave.
Thanks to Kaibart for the fault tracing. I havent disregarded the Heater, but the Thermostat is the cheapest option, plus, as I’ve already ordered it, I might as well give it a try.
The problem becomes that, by the time I’ve replaced the thermostat, the Heater and the condenser, I’ve pretty much bought a new Tumble Dryer!:D -
