I hope not as I took a chance and ordered a replacement heater ! 🙁
At least a relay should be easy to replace if it is that, and not too expensive.December 4, 2014 at 2:36 pm in reply to: Bosch WF02864GB/01 wash cycle stuck 0:01 minutes remaining #422331tonyb61

I worked out 28ohms. I’ll check tonight when I get home.

Hi,
I did look at this. I discounted the motor earth leakage as a cause since many programs do run through ok, including a cold wash. The heater is suspect so I ran through a 90C hot wash this morning, and it seems to be not actually heating up at all. So I might measure that this evening. What are the typical resistance figures for a element ? I’m guessing something like 30-50 ohms ?tonyb61

OK, the small movement I could get is probably the actual lamp fitting rotating a little. ! The lens cover is probably stuck fast within the lamp fitting, so brute force it is !
I have a pretty strong grip, but couldn’t budge it, maybe I’ll try with my oil filter removal tool 🙂tonyb61
ParticipantRe: Bosch Exxcel 1400 Not Spinning ?
Well I checked the brushes and they were pretty worn. I have replaced them, and it’s a lot better. The spin cycle actually runs through further now although it still seems to jump from 7mins to 1min left.
I’m curious how the drum rotates during wash cycles ok, but not will not even try to rotate during a spin with worn brushes.
Anyway thanks for the help !August 17, 2010 at 2:30 pm in reply to: Admiral GS2126CEDB/11 Fridge not cooling but freezer is ? #326692tonyb61

I rechecked the heater with the ohmmeter, and it did seem to be open circuit. I have replaced it and I will see how it goes.

After deicing coils fridge working ok.
Checked heater/thermostat which are wired in series, and when cold about 100 ohms, and after freezer reached room temp resistance was 6Mohms plus. I think this means heater and thermostat are operating so my problem must be the defrost timer ? But I can’t find this anywhere ?
I’ve looked where the defrost heater is behind freezer section, under the control panel at the top of the fridge compartment, and at the back where the compressor is, but no sign of it ?
Can anyone help ❓August 3, 2010 at 9:57 pm in reply to: Admiral GS2126CEDB/11 Fridge not cooling but freezer is ? #326688tonyb61

I removed the panel at the back of the freezer compartment, and indeed the coils are very iced up. Not sure why the freezer still seems cold but the fridge section is much warmer.
Anyway have defrosted coils and seeing if better.
If ok, then I need to find out why the coils iced up, which could be the heater, thermostat or timer ? I can see the heater and thermostat. but does anyone have any idea where the timer might be ?

It’s about 8 years old.
One idea I’ve found from hunting around is that the evaporator coils could be iced up if something has gone wrong with the defrost mechanisms. I’ll have a look tonight.tonyb61

That seemed to have fixed the problem for now. I guess a part is under rated on that control board !
Thanks for the help.tonyb61
ParticipantRe: Bosch SGV5613GB/12 Water not heating ?
I left the pcb in place, but separated the white plastic shell around the pcb and could see a pin near the red/white power connector had overheated and become unsoldered, so I remade the joint. I’m waiting for a wash cycle to see if this has helped.

I have removed the top section of the door which contains the pcb in a white plastic box, the on off switch and the controls along the top edge. But I’m puzzled how to remove the pcb and it’s box from this piece. I can see two tabs that sort of hold the box/pcb block in place and it looks like I should be able to pull it down, after releasing the two tabs and remove it in one piece ? But I’ve tried and it seems very tight. Am I missing a further fixing here or do I just need to use brute force ?

Hi,
For information, I took the side cover off, and found a little piece of plaster/grout had just fallen onto the red plastic rod connected to the float valve and was stopping it moving so that the float valve was stuck on, keeping the pump on. Seems to work fine now it is removed.tonyb61
ParticipantRe: Progamme never ending ? Boach SGV5613GB/12
Thanks for the advice. I’ll try taking it apart tomorrow, and see if anything looks dirty or blocked…
I did try resetting the programme as the user manual suggested, and the timer is now cleared, and I can select any of the programmes. However the pump still runs continuously.
