Many thanks Penguin45 for your prompt advice. I’ll check with uk.whitegoods for a price on the part but I suspect it will be too dear
Regards and thanks again for your help

Many thanks Penguin45
I dismantled part of the black water collector at the base of the dishwasher underneath and it did contain sludge. I’ve cleaned it out and it doesn’t leak now.Regards

ParticipantRe: Bosch KGV2604 powers up but compressor doesn’t run
Did you get your problem sorted as some time ago my Bosch F/F developed a fault similar to yours where the compressor switched off when the freezer reached the correct temperature but then would not switch on again when it warmed up. Sometimes however, if I turned off the power switch and left it for a couple of hours switching the power back on sometimes started the compressor and it would again be ok until the freezer reached the required temperature. I did a search on the internet for the fault and found information to suggest there was as simple fix which involed cutting 2 wires and joining them together.
I contacted Bosch and the told me they had a kit costing around £12. It turned out to be instructions on which wires to cut. I still have the instructions somewhere but it may be worth contacting Bosch.
Hope this helps
