    Re: Hvr Tacho Magnet Avalibility

Taking the magnets off the hoover motor inevitably (had to look that one up in the dictionary) breaks them.
If you have any old hotpoint 95 series motors, you can screw the old magnet off them, drill the right size hole in the middle and fit it to the hoover motor.
I have done this several times without any problems.

    Cheers.

    Re: INDESIT WA155 DRUM PADDLES

The last time I did these paddles, the one paddle had come out. I looked at the bottom of the paddle and could not see anywhere where a clip could retain the thing , so all I did was pull the other two from the back towards the front and they both slid out ( they are a bit tight ). I then just slid the new ones in. There were no retaining clips.

    Cheers.

I don’t think bird flu affects most of us, being male.

    Re: WMA bearing change

If you smear a little petroleum jelly on to the end of the pins, they slide out easily ,once the tab is pushed back. On refitting, brush the pins with petroleum jelly and they will just push in wth your thumb.
I find it pointless to try to remove the pins holding the drum to the spider I just drill the ends off with an 8mm drill bit and replace with countersunk allen screws that I buy locally at eight quid a hundred. Hotpoint price about four quid each.
Once did a hotpoint 95 bearing change in an hour BLINDFOLDED for a bet and worked without a problem.
