    Re: Indesit Smart Card Reader

Can anyone explain to me when these smart cards have to be used. Obviously if a new board is fitted, are all the new boards the same but have different information on them or are there different boards, can the information from one board be removed and a new set of information be applied, do faults on the machine damage the information on the board? I have not come across this type of machine yet, if I do, how do I recognise it? Can the new boards be fitted to older models?
In all my years in this trade I have never had to change an eeprom nor have I ever had to change a pressure switch.

    Regards.

    Re: Bosch wtl 6500

Cheers Gegsy, I didn’t think about putting any clothes in it, but thinking about it, after you mentioned it , it makes sense! I will try the thing with a load in it in the morning and let you know.
As for the carbon brush on the sensor arm, that is fine, hardly worn as the dryer is fairly new and has not had a lot of use. I suspect Gegsy has hit the nail on the head, but if not, I will let you all know tomorrow.

    Cheers.

    Re: zanussi diagnostics.

Fault came up as e92 telling me the board was faulty. Checked the price of a new board and then decided to let the scrapman have it as there was no profit in it.

    cheers.

    Re: zanussi diagnostics.

Fault is, sometimes it displays E90, other times it flashes the start/reset light , other times it does nothing. I have had the board off and can see no visible signs of damage, tightened the connectors and cleaned the terminals, checked the pump, motor etc suspect that there may be a fault with the board but am not 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} sure yet.
As I was typing this the postman has arrived with my book. must say on first impression it’s a steal for the price am very impressed.
Will let you know when I eventually find the fault!

Thanks Penguin 45 for sending me the info!!!!

    Cheers.

Re: Samsung RL33SBNS1/XEU – defrosting itself overnight!!

I have the same problem with another Samsung. Worked out that the defrost heater is open circuit but it looks as if the heater comes complete with the evaporator. As of yet I cannot locate anywhere that supplies this part . Have tried all my main suppliers but no one seems to be able to help. Model is SR-L3916BSS.

    Regards.

Re: Grease for bearing seal Hotpoint WMA series

I use petroleum jelly, Vaseline etc. It’s cheap easily available from the local shop and I have never had any trouble with it. I also use it to put on the suspension leg pins for ease of dismantliong and installing.

    Regards.
