Better still … INSIST that spares buy-back on contract termination is part of the contract ….. if Whoever it is is not prepared to take back unused stock at cost, are they worth working for?
We were with GIAS to the end, but a year before it ended, I had a buy-back added to the contract ….RESULT !!!

    Thanks ** philfish ** you are a star !!
Our local Travis Perkins had “Brick Acid” (patio cleaner) in 5L bottles for £8.99+VAT and as we speak, soap drawers are fizzing their way to cleanliness 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀

Don’t think I’ve ever heard the words BRICK and ACID used in the same sentence before …. I’m looking forward to finding out what it is !

    Re: Cleaning Soap Drawers

Out test soap drawer has now been soaking in a VERY strong solution of Caustic Soda since last thursday, but the hard deposits remain stubbornly unmoved …… there was some obvious chemical action initially, but despite refreshing and concentrating the solution, it hasn’t really touched the main deposits.
Does anyone have any other ideas?

Thanks Martin! Will give that a try – just been reading your tale of bespoke kitchen woe… very amusing, and so true!

    Re: ISDL Slow Payment

I’m still waiting for December invoices to be paid …. what do you mean by “up to date” If you send an invoice in 1st Jan, by their system, it can’t be paid before end of Feb …..
I take 2 days to complete a job from receipt of the call to posting the invoice .. involving getting an engineer to the customer’s house. All they have to do is process the paperwork (type it into a computer?) and arrange to pay it … how does that take a month or more???
    D & G can do it in 7 days.
