Sadly the flood alarm has been triggered again, only a couple of weeks after I last pulled the unit out and drained it. It’s not easy either, as it’s securely fitted in between a cooker and a washing machine.

I’ve looked at the unit and I really cannot see any way that water could be leaking out anywhere as the inner washing area is sealed.

Where could water be leaking from and how?

I’m really very annoyed about this – it’s driving me bonkers!

I assumed it was washing, but it was simply timing out of the longer cycle. When the old cycle finished I set it to do a new one but the error re-appeared.

I don’t understand how it could be leaking? Where can it leak to? Or is the base unit a safety flood bay of some sort? How does one look for a leak?

Thanks for your help by the way

    😀

I tried the same thing as last year – tilting it to the left – and it seemed t fix it for a quick 30 minute wash. But after 25 minutes the error message reappears.

Drain the lower tray and find the leak.

    What is meant by this?

Nearly a year later and the same fault – what is it with these machines? All I’ve done is wash dishes as usual, so why another ’30 error message and the three dreaded beeps?

Have managed to clear the error beep by tilting the unit slightly to the left side – it’s now completing the cycle I originally set it to.

I would like to thank all of you for your top quality advice!

Mna,many thanks for yout help – the dishwasher appears to he held in place by just one screw on the top right to the underside of the work surface, which I can get to by pulling out the washing machine. Luckily there is no screw on the left hand side as this is next to a fitted oven.

What are the white screwsfront top left and right on the unit itself?

    Will report back soon!

ps – an email via AEG’s website resulted in a reply email suggesting I find my local service centre via another website – which isn’t local at all and there’s a £60 call out charge plus parts, plus labour!

Think I will definitely be fixing this myself.

Thanks – but how do I drain the lower tray if I’m unable to pull the unit out?
