Thank you for your reply iadom, I’m a woman and not brave 😯 enough to try that with the back off, I just put my hand on the various areas of the back cover and could feel the heat that way.
Any suggestions, I rather like this dryer and would very much like to have it repaired. How do I find a reliable and honest electrician.

Thank you Martin, I am always a little wary of downloading from sites I have never heard of, ended up with a virus from one site.
But I have now gone to the site you said and downloaded it, many thanks again.January 10, 2013 at 2:19 pm in reply to: Tricity Bendix SE335 front ceramic element gone (I think) #386792vron1

Hi Seamy, my son has tested the control switch and yes it has gone.
When putting in the make and model no for the cooker, up pops an energy regulator and also a heat control switch. They are both different to look at, so whats the difference.

Hi alf and r600a,
You are both right, have found the blockage, the rubber cap had perished and the drain was full of ice, we are about to clear this now but can’t re-use the cap which sits over the drain, would it be ok without it or will it need replacing, if so where do I get one from.
Thanks guys. -
