ParticipantRe: Qualtex Account Closure
The customer will more and more no longer need us. They can buy the part direct from Qualtex through ASW, fit it themselves and do away with us. At the least they will buy or price the part up themselves. So buy from ASW and self destruct. At least Connects own sites leave some margin for the trade on the price they charge the public.

ParticipantRe: Electrue Parts
Hi, we have found Connect doing the same thing with our orders, as we spend around £2000 a month with them, Connect have now lost us as a customer.
We had a part returned to us from a customer and it contained a pen, a fridge magnet and a leaflet about “4ourhouse” which is a Connect site.
Qualtex say that they don’t do this but i am waiting for a part being sent to a friend to confirm this.waters

ParticipantRe: Daewoo problem
Oh dear,i spoke too soon on Swift being great. The agreed day for delivery and uplift was on a Thursday.Because its our normal day off we asked them to give us a ring before they got there and we would go down,as its only 5 mins away. Our landlord rang us telling us there was a washer outside our shop on the Thursday,he was there before 8am ,and it was already there then.No phone call ,nothing,no one signed for it ,it was just left.So the uplift never got picked up and it was only luck the new washer was still there..Contacted Swift and they said this should not have happened but they keep billing us for the washer, and they do not turn up on the days they say they will pick it up.We contact them and then we are told by someone else that we should not have been given that date.I wish now that the one they left outside the shop had been nicked.

Ok thanks,it just seems crazy that a customer can use a machine for 14 months for nothing

ParticipantRe: Daewoo problem
Do Amica replace machines themselves under guarantee or do they leave it to the suppliers.

ParticipantRe: Daewoo problem
The suppliers {Swift] have been great. There are no Daewoos available of the mo0del,so they will swop for an Amica this Thursday.
The customer is ok with this but hard to explain because they are Polish.
But a couple of questions,
The customer only paid me £160 for the machine in the first place,so where do i stand now with the Amica Guarantee. They also give a 2 year guarantee ,and i dont want the situation where this could happen again with the Amica. That would mean the customer getting 4 years guarantee for £160.
If the customer sees the machine and complains about the exchange ,can i just then offer a proportion of the £160 they originally paid because they have had 14 months wear out of it.
The customer has also moved address so i am collecting it at my expense,at no charge and the customer is feeling hard done to ,so any advice would be much welcomed
thankswaters

Thanks, like you said ,i will never buy Daewoo again.

ParticipantRe: Daewoo problem
Daewoo products have a 2 year guarantee so it looks like Daewoo offer this then leave it down to the seller to honour. When it first went faulty Daewoo sent them to me for the repair. We explained to the customer that we were not repair agents and Daewoo sent someone to repair it.
Now after 4 repairs they have given the customer the exchange code.Daewoo was adamant it was our responsibility to replace.
This situation leaves the customer without a machine for potentially weeks,so its not fair on the customer or mewaters
ParticipantRe: PAYPAL CARD READER
Unfortunatly i had just signed with Cardsave before i got with Worldpay trial.Cardsave is contract that will cost us £30 per month to rent the terminal and we are stuck with it for the year.We have used the two, and the free one is the one we prefer and are using.

Google WorldPay
Pay as you go Card Acceptance Pilot
As i said earlier, they supplied the equipment and its free .We had to ring for help to set it up and they went through set up step by step,
The chip and pin reader keypad is supplied free and unlike the beta you was on ,it accepts Visa.
The ones that fit on the mobile phone are only swipe and i dont think customers would trust these.waters
ParticipantRe: PAYPAL CARD READER
We use chip and pin now with android mobile, card reader was supplied free and connects with bluetooth.

ParticipantRe: PAYPAL CARD READER
We use ours with a samsung galaxy.World pay gave us a free card reader and i think customers trust this more ,im not sure a customer would like handing over a credit card to be used with a phone.Good feedback from our customers and they like how it sends them a text.We are under contract for one with cardsave because we didnt know about the free World pay one ,but we only use the Worldpay one because its so quick and easy
