You’ll find a good cause for this is the door switch. I’ve spent quite a bit of time testingthese things for a different manufacturer(exact same model).
You should be able to get the spares from baumatic but other wise just try to find a micro switch to raplace it with.
This BDW8 is made by Haier (chinese) soordering spares direct could take months

That is very true Ken all the fires we had, had be contained as the leaks had put the fire out, or when the sump melts. I’ve never know one of ours to cause a house fire as yet!!!!! ❗ Plenty of smoke damage though 😕

I knew of the 2 merloni brothers but i didn’t know which one made what.
But i suppose that doesn’t matter as they mke equally poor products.They promised the earth when we bought from them but never delivered.
You want to try and get money from them when the failure rate percentage they give is actually 3 or 4 times more. Not a chance i can tell you.
Then it keeps us in a job though can only be a good thing. 😀

I used work for a company who bought Merloni dishwashers
and self branded them. They also started catching fire and was ditched
as soon as it was possible to do so.Also I also know that the Merloni made Servis M803W also caught fire
on several occasions. We carried out the tests and found various reasons
why they caught fire:- Thermal overload, resistive heating to name a few.They promised to sort the problems but obviously not
just thought i’d put my bit in. 😀
