ParticipantRe: Neff fridge/freezer (K8614X3GB) behaving erratically
Hi, the symptoms have changed slightly now. Both fridge and freezer only occasionally are getting cold and it sounds like the compressor is trying to start every 2 to 3sec. Maybe a capacitor, but there are two of these so no sure which one? So maybe two unconnected problems as the light is still an issue if the fridge does cool down ie. it stays permanently on, but as soon as the fridge warms up it works fine?
Any help would be most appreciated.

Yes that would be too easy. Ive already checked that and its not listed and Ive also called Neff who couldnt help.
I assume there must be two thermostats, one in the main compartment and maybe that one is in the control unit (which Ive just changed) and one in the freezer.
Any other checks I could do?
Thanks

Hi John,
Many thanks for advice. Ok time to take a look inside at the heater then. Any ideas what the two resistance values should be?
I assume it will still be ok to use the top drawer with the bottom removed?
Thanks

ParticipantFisher Paykel DD603H – hangs during cycle
Hi Many thanks for all the replies.
Ive been doing some more testing and its not displaying errors any longer. Basically it just extends the cycle time by getting stuck for a while in the program before moving on. Eventually it gets to the end and it is pumping the water out aswell. So for example on the fast eco setting the time is 42mins, but after 24mins it hangs for approx 45mins. It then moves on and at 4mins it hangs again for 45mins and then it finishes correctly. I did pause it during each of the “hanged” periods and there was water in the bottom that was quite warm, so maybe the heater is ok and it is the controller after all?
I get the same result with the other settings..
Thanks

Hi, Are you pretty sure its not the controller? Are there any more tests I can do to be certain of the fault?
If it is the heater plate can you give any advise or point me in the right direction?
Thanks

The pnc no. is 914601206/00, hope this helps..
So are there any further checks I can do on the heater unit, just worried it could be the controller board instead?
Also tried running the dryer with the heater unit disconnected and it runs fine (apart from no heat) – strange thought the controller would have detected the heater unit was missing!
Is the heater unit easy to change on this model?
Thanks

Hi, Well disconnecting the heater seems to have sorted it and its running through the wash progs with no problems now. I’ve checked the heater resistance and it measures 103ohms between elements and a very Mohms resistance to earth, so there doesnt seem to be any obvious problem. Are there any other tests I can do with it?
Also is it easy to change and do you know where I could get a new one? Also any ides on cost?
Thanks again for the help.

Ok thanks, I’ll give that a go and let you know. As for checking for the error codes, am I doing it right and have you heard of this type of fault before where it just resets afer a couple of mins of a wash cycle?
Thanks

ParticipantRe: AEG lavamat turbo (L 14710-VIT) washer/dryer will not wa
Hi, Can you tell me how to do this?
Also cant get the error code to appear anymore? I did it initially by holding the start/pause and start/delay buttons together after it had stopped. Doing this now has no effect. The fault is still the same ie. runs for 2/3mins on any wash prog and then stops and prog timer resets as if waiting to be started, but you cant re-start it without doing a reset first. Spin and drain still wk ok.
Thanks

Hi, Thnaks for the info. Yes its the s/s version just like this:-
http://www.vanns.com/shop/servlet/item/ … /313994787
So are you saying you have to remove the main steel panel that is on the front of the draw so that you get access to the upper plastic panel? And are these screws near the bottom edge as I dont remember seeing any screws on the inside edge on either side? I assume we are talking about the same panel, the one that cover the display and is also the handle?

Thanks for the replies, most helpful. What is the easiest way to replace the impeller jug as you cant get at it from the lhs? Do you have to lift off the main cabinet or can you get at it from the rear. Also is it possible to test it somehow?
