ParticipantThank you Dave, I have sent a message/enquiry to the ebay link you have given me. I had already spoken to QER, and in this instance are unable to help, due to how the component is constructed. I see that Bosch has had similar problems before!

ParticipantThank you for reply Dave. Yes, take us back to cam charts and minute and a half rotations – so much easier then! If you could dig out a test routine for me, that may be of help, certainly time saving! Cheers, Doug

ParticipantThank you for reply Dave. I could understand if the heater circuit runs through the pressure switch, and if made, with low water, could cause the safety stat to operate. I cannot see from hotpoint parts diagram, a thermistor or where it would be placed to register temperature, so I’m unsure how the control board would know when correct temperature is reached, unless somehow it senses from the in line thermostat fixed along with the overheat safety cut out on heater assembly, ie drop in watts used??

ParticipantRe: Dedietrich Service Manual
Thanks for reply,I have the error codes and have d13 according to the lights flashing, which suggests overheating. I’ve not managed to clear the error lights even though I’ve disconnected from mains unconnected power board heater and pumps and re-connected? I’m presuming it’s picking up an incorrect reading somewhere as soon as switched on. I wouldn’t have expected this error to show until the actual start button is pressed. Just nice to have more info before I return and test further!

ParticipantRe: Samsung RS21FCSV arm broken on ice maker
Thanks Bryan, it wasn’t till I had got home and thought about it, obviously I should’ve manually operated the stub that was left on the ice making unit and I would have seen whether it made a difference to the indicators. The customer had said that he thought the selections were working before he had broken the arm, but that he had an excessive ice build up in that area and in trying to clear the ice had broken it. Can you think of another cause for the selections not to work/light up? cheers

Participant2 connectors, one has 3 wires (temp sensor) the other has 4 or maybe 5 wires?
zeberdee
ParticipantDoes it heat up to temp req? I had one which heated, then on further check found heater to have insulation fault but didn’t throw trip, yet it managed to heat water but only slightly therefore the wash went on for ages, obviously in this instance the heater replacement cured the problem.
