Domestic & General (D&G) has changed hands again; this time it’s been acquired by Asurion, a US warranty company that’s pretty big in the tech space across the pond.

It looks as if the sale of Domestic & General may be back on as it has been reported that the private equity company CVC Capital Partners (CVC) is engaged in discussions with the Advent International in the US, to acquire the British home appliance warranty company.

Sky News reports that an American private equity group has made an offer to buy Domestic & General (D&G) which is one of Britain’s biggest providers of warranties for domestic appliances if not one of the largest in Europe.

A short press release that we have picked up on hints at some form of upcoming expansion plan for Domestic & General to make the move into new territories, including Europe but the press release was interestingly labelled for Chicago and Glasgow.
