Induction switch discussed in this thread is not applicable to your appliance.

Thankfully I’ve come across this forum!! We have the same problem but I noticed some people on this thread say the clock stays on so thought it worth asking the question again. It does this randomly, sometimes I can cook for an hour and it’s fine. Other times after 20 minutes it goes off, both the grill/top oven and main bottom oven. The clock goes off too. There is air blowing out the top of the over door so the fan seems to be working. It’s out of warranty by a couple of months. It only happened a few times during the first year, but it’s more often now and this week it’s happened twice.
The numbers are:
PNC 943204251
AEG D77000GF-MIs the cooling fan thermostat control the problem here too? If so what part do we need?
Thanks in advance for any help you can giveJune 9, 2009 at 12:00 pm #131670mike2405

Hi all,I had the same problem, and ordered the required part. I fitted it, closed up the access hatch, slid the oven back into the kitchen unit, switched on, and “Great!” I thought as the cooling fan came on. I switched the oven off, then 10 minutes later tried again. The cooling fan does not come on now! I’m back to square one it seems.
It’s very frustrating as I obviously had it fixed. I have checked all spade connectors and they’re all fine, the fan motor looks fine also from what I can see.
Looks like a new oven for me?????
I noticed on the original sensor one of the white wires had silver writing on it
I have done the same as you
replaced the sensor then half hour later it cu out again. i have now swapped the white wires around to see if this makes a difference. I am sure before my cooling fan was not working but it is now.
keep you updatedI have also had the same problem. I had a look but could not identify any silver writing on either of the white wires, but I changed them around and it stilll has not made any difference.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Have the same problem, AEG competence oven turns itself off after a while, although the cooling fan does (seem to) work.
Hoping you can give me a link to the part I need. I went to the link you supplied for the others but couldn’t find the model# listed.

Hi,
Would it be this part, the cooling fan control that you’re looking for? 😉
They are a stock line so same day dispatch usually so long as the order is in in time for post/courier.

Mine B1180-1 is cutting out afer 20 mins or so but the clock remains on. I have taken a look to see if the thermal cut is scorched and it is so i have ordered the replacement part. As there are two blue and two white wires are they marked up? or is it irrelevant how they are connected as long as you insert a white for white and blue for blue, as i recall in a previous posting that someone switched the two white wires to achieve a result.

Like for like by colour, ie white to white – polarity is unimportant.

Hi
Have a similar problem with AEG Competence B4140-1-m (944 181 743) built-in oven. The Cooking with fan option packed up about a year ago, as the fan would run but the oven would not get hot.
Now the oven cuts out after it hits a certain heat and will only restart if you open the door briefly. The lights all stay on as does the clock, but it simply stops heating.
Is it the thermal cut-out and if so what part do I need to order?
Also can I fix it myself? I have replaced the heat sensors on a tumble dryer before, but that’s about it.
Many thanks

Well i fitted a the thermal cut out part which arrived today, so time will tell if the repair has been successful, The existing one i removed was that badly scorched all four wires had burnt away from the blue torpedo. Easy enough to replace, i even managed to re-use the existing tie-wraps…..so fingers crossed

Hi
I have the same problem with an AEG Competence Double Oven. My main oven switches off like others in this forum but it is a Model D81000M which is not listed in the recommended part. Am I correct in thinking the part I need is 3117523062 Thermostat.
Hope you can help.I have started another thread in case this a different oven.
Thank you.

Hi there,
I’ve got a AEG Competence B2100-1-M
From reading through this it apears i have the same issue, when i use the grill after 10-15 minutes it cuts off, and the dials are abosultey scalding hot, though the clock and everything stays on.
I assume its the part listed elsewhere in the thread that i require?
Also i’d proably fancy getting someone to do it for me but do you know what sort of cost youd be looking at to get the item fitted? Also if i was to go through the links here to get someone, should i be buying the part myself and just get him to fit it or would they be buying it? If the cost is huge, then i may have to try it myself but if its reasonable i’d rather get someone who knows what they are doing, to do it.
