Massive thanks for confirming wires Chris 🙂
I definitely think I’ve no other option than replace the pcb, I’ve checked
1. the heater – measure 27 ohm.
2. the thermostat
3. metered all the wiring
4. replaced the relay on control pcb and gone over all solder joints
5. tested all componets and all seem okay, but cannot test the chipset, although there is no sign of damage on the ic’s and definitely no burnt connecters, etc.
6. tested heater circuit (heater / thermostat) from the control panel (pink wire to door switch and pink wire on fts2 – this measures 27ohms, so conforms wiring okay, etc…So…….
Looks like I’ll have to order the pcb and keep my fingers crossed. I dont like spending unnessarily.
I cannot thank everybody enough for all your help !!!
Thanks Scooter

Flybrick – check the heater element is okay, i have just disconnected both wires to the heater assembly and the lights flash 1 + 4, might be that your heater assembly has blown
Just a thought, I’m no expert, just what I’ve personally found whilst tyring !!! to fix mine
Thanks

ParticipantHi,
Sorry I didnt come back to confirm fix for dishwasher, it was the control pcb.
I honestly didnt think it would fix it, cos there where no signs of damage and all components tested okay.
But there you have it, you guys rock !!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank for all your help and saving me the dreaded Indesit call out charge 🙂
Thanks so much !!!

Can’t tell you the relief to see that someone has suffered similar and got a result, just hope I’m not too late…
Bought from B&Q April 07
Delivered June 07
Installed August 07
Broke August 08B&Q don’t want to know, and even more worryingly an independent Engineer has said Indesit no longer supply the part required…
so…am I out of luck or has someone knowledge of where I can get a PCB from please???
thanks
Andy

I realise that this is an old topic but I have just discovered these forums after developing the same heater fault on my 3 year old Indesit DI620.
I Had a local company look at it and was told that the fault lay with a pcb under the machine neater to the heater terminals and that it would cost about £100 to replace and a further £30 for the eprom to fit on to it. Sounds improbable after reading this topic.
Can anyone shed any light on this before I dipose of the machine or just buy the pcb mentioned in a previous post.
The heater element itself is ok.
Thanks in anticipation

Not sure what ‘under the machine neater to the heater’ means. 😕
The control PCB is behind the facia at the top of the door. If you are certain the heater is OK and also is not down to earth then the PCB is a very strong candidate.
Not over expensive, comes complete with temp sensor and does not need an eeprom.
Two different types, would need your full serial number to ID correct part.Jim.

Thanks for the quick reply, he said that there was a further pcb under the machine near to the heater terminals, but I can’t locate one. the heater element is ok.
The serial number is 50907 2251

He didn’t happen to be wearing a mask by any chance. :rolls:
Only one PCB on this machine. 🙂
Yours is the one linked to by Penguin45 in the post above. 🙂

Got the PCB yesterday, fitted tonight and the dishwasher is now working perfectly (for an Indesit!) 😀
Total cost to repair £36 not £130 plus labour as quoted by our local
(Chorley, Lancs) Highwayman.
It is now obvious he hadn’t got a clue what was wrong with the machine and just made a ridiculous price up so that I would either tell him where to go or buy another machine! Thanks again Jim for the invaluable advice
