    Hi,

I have an Indesit DI620 dishwasher that is just over 1 year old, the water doesnt get hot anymore and also if you select eco wash, it stops with a rapidly flashing light 4

Wash two also stops half way through with light 4 flashing again.

I’ve checked the heating element, this seems fine and reads 27 ohms, I’ve also checked the thermostat and that is fine. I’ve blown through the hoses and there doesnt appear to be any blockages and the dishwasher always drains the water out of the machine.

I’ve heard that light 4 flashes is complaining that the water hasnt reached temperature and the likely cause is the two components I’ve tested, so now I’m stuck 🙁

Can somebody help me please with a next step

    Massive thanks for reading this

To be brutally honest your next step should be to take it to the nearest tip and then go and buy a decent machine. 😉

On a more practical note, the PCB is also a common cause of heater failure, two different modules for this model, neither of them over expensive. We would need full serial number to ID correct part.

    Hiya,

Thanks for reply, the serial number of the machine is

    60428 3644

There is a number to the left of the serial number, which is

    37303510900.

Where is the PCB located in the dishwasher, do I remove all of the screws around the metal work inside the door ??

Is it a thermistor that blows, what I mean is it something I could repair myself or is it a pcb change?

To confirm the pcb is defective, is there a way of testing the board or is it just a change and see ??

Sorry to ask alot of questions 🙂

Massive respect for your help 🙂

BTW – I do agree about the tip, I wont buy Indesit ever again !!!

    Thanks

PCB for your machine is a C00143206, an e-mail to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk for price etc if you wish to take a chance on that being the cause.

The PCB is in the door underneath the push buttons, not possible to test but visual examination may reveal burnt contacts or solder joint failure.

    Hi,

I cannot thank you enough for your help with this fault.

One question, I’ve taken the board out for inspection, I’ve tested all the diodes and transistors, there is no sign of any damage to any components or bad solder joints, everything I tested seemed okay, do you still think it could be the board, also none of the ic’s showed any sign of damage.

I just dont want to send for a board if there is any other option that it could be.

I’ve tested the heater element, that show 27 ohms, so good
I’ve tested the Thermostat, that also reads fine
    and

    The board as explained above.

I know its hard because without you seeing it, but is that flashing 4 a heat fault. The water still doesnt get warm.

What should be the next move, order the pcb???

Massive respect as stated earlier for your help

Yep, light 4 flashing is a heater timeout. As you say difficult for me to do anything other than speculate. The heater itself followed by the PCB are the most common causes of this fault. It could also be a wiring break or a safety stat fault.

Its your call on this one really, thankfully the PCB is not the most expensive, around £27.00 + vat.

    Hi,

I’ll check the wiring tomorrow, what do you mean by safety stat fault??

I spoke to Indesit this evening, the guy on the helpdesk said I should check the release solenoid, where is this situated ??? or is this a red herring to throw me?

I really cannot thank you enough for all your help.

I feel like pulling my hair out, it makes it worse being an intergrated unit, I have to strip down the cupboard to pull it out each time 🙁

    Thanks

Person in call centre knows less than diddly-squat about appliances. We do, we’re the engineers. Jim is right, as usual 😀 .

    Hi,

    Me again 🙂 LOL

Just got around to having another look at this fault, I was stripping down the dishwasher to get to the control pcb when the dishwasher fell forward, not a problem apart from the pink and blue wires going to FST1 and FST2 came off and I’m not a 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} what was connected to where.

I’m assunming that the pink wire that goes down to the heater assembly goes on FST2 and the Blue wires goes to FST1.

Can somebody please verify this for me????

Hope you can help me 🙁

    Thanks

Sorry, yes you are breaking forum rules:
    http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/modules.p … pic&t=4357

No.8……. As it happens, we don’t have the circuit diagrams. Indesit don’t tell us anything……

    Sorry,

    Hello from FlyingBrick
I am trying to fix the same fault on my Indesit D1620UK model with the pcb problem showing LED 1&4 flashing as soon as the power is turned on?
Checked the Flextronics PCB and all the triacs seem ok but cannot check the EPROM.
The Blue wire goes to FST1
The Pink wire goes to FST2
Yes I have checked all the main components and still have not cleared down LED’s 1&4 let me know what you find?

    Kind regards

    Lights 1 + 4 flashing indicate a software error.

    Thanks Jim

Guess I will have to order a new complete Flextronics PCB and hope that clears down the errors 1&4 on the Idesit D1 620. No dry joints and the PCB is well made.
Next time I will try a Bosch dishwasher.
    Kind regards

    Chris
