    Re: Indesit DI620 – Please help 🙂

    Hi,

i have the usual problem everyone seems to be having on this forum and would appreciate anyones help. light 4 is flashing on my Di620 and the cycle isnt completing.

we had a freind who repairs white goods come and look at it and he says the thermostat and heater are working ok as far as he can tell so i am going to take a risk and buy a pcb as this seems to fix most peoples problems. can someone advise me on the right one i need if i give the two part serial??

    it is:

    612073367 (the other part before it is 37303511000 06 0013 – )

    many thanks in advance guys

    Re: Indesit DI620 – Please help 🙂

    Hi there,

Just stumbled onto this website (or should I say knowledge goldmine) as
my Indesit DI620 has also just developed the “flashing no.4” problem too.

What makes it worse is that its happened on christmas day just after Christmas dinner !! (just imagine the washing up backlog already ) 🙁

So, without testing, looks like I’m going to need a new PCB.

as the threads on here date back over two years can anyone advise what no. PCB I need if my serial no. is :- S/N 611105163 ?

also, should I still be able to get this from spares@ukwhitegoods?

will probably just change the heating element too at the same time if not overly expensive as it is caked in white furry limescale, or is this probably not required ?

Thanks in advance for any help

    Regards

    Mort

Not wise to ‘probably change’ anything without first testing it electrically.

Although the visible element is not as prone to failure as the internal ‘tube’ type it may still just be the element that is faulty.

Resistance, continuity & insulation tests of the heating element with a megger or suitable multimeter is the only sensible way to proceed.

    Element is a C00144898
    PCB is C00143222

I am fairly certain that UKWG’s stopped supplying Indesit electronic components due to their appalling quality/failure rate.

I suppose it would do no harm to ask, an e-mail; to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk would get you a definitive answer.

Just want to follow up and say Thank You, as I got the part recommended via UK White goods and the problem is now solved.

Will definately visit again and recommend this site to Frugal Friends

As long as your model is a DI620 then you need a C00143206

    Hi Guys

Well it seems I have the same problem with serial no 612112347 which I assume needs a C00143206 card.

Thing is I have took the machine apart then stood it back upright. I started a cycle and after the initial fill I opened the door. I then tilted back the unit pulled the terminals off the heater and connected my multi-meter. I closed the door and the machine started cycling again with my meter reading 240volts across the heater leads. After a few mins the relay on the control card clicked out and the voltage dropped to 26volts where it remained with lights 2 and 4 flashing.

I assume therefore that the flashing 2 and 4 were there because it could not measure a heater attached but its interesting that it was still outputting the full voltage at some points yet the element stayed cold.

By the way my element is reading 29ohms so I am confident thats ok.

Could this be the card or something pretty simple on the board. The board looks good visually with no burns. Heater element looks like new. Overheat stat is good and the level sensor is working and so is the door switch. I can’t see any other items affecting the power to the heater so I am a bit perplexed.

Could it be that the card is not supplying enough current? In which case it should be fairly straight forward to isolate the offender.

    Any help gratefully received.

    Many thanks in advance

    James

From serial number 61020.0001 the PCB is a C00143222.

The ‘L’ shaped heaters on these are more reliable than the internal tube type heater. If all of the wiring from the PCB to the heater is fine then its odds on the PCB, very poor quality.

They are now both listed as the same price around £60.00 ex vat.

If you are talking about board levels repairs then the best of luck. None of the main PCB repair companies will touch these.

Jamesmuk- Had a problem with my DI620UK where light 4 was flashing. Done all the checks, Heating element, stat, power relay on PCB etc. Was looking at prices of a new PCB and was to dear to justify £70. Anyway took a closer look at PCB and everything looked ok, no burns etc., reflowed complete board, still no joy. Then I discovered a zener diode that was giving odd reaings on the multimeter, was acting as a short circuit. Took out diode and replaced with new one from radionics (less than 10p) put back in PCB and machine now working perfect, RESULT javascript:emoticon(‘’) In the process of debugging the PCB I managed also to get (with a struggle) 5 exact samples of the on board power relay, just in case this ever does go.

indesitjunk – Thats some great work there well done! I too have not wanted to shell out for a new board and also metered out most of the board and found most things as expected apart from D0004 which shows the same low (sub 4k) resistance in both polarities so I assumed is was probably OK and was just reading back through other components. Although its labelled D0004 and not DZXXX it does appear to be Zener. Was this the one you replaced, if not which one did you find was shot on yours?

Thanks for the help – great work.

    Cheers

Hi we have an indesit di 620 integrated dish washer. Just recently we put it onto a programme – usually number 2, it bleeps and goes back to programme 1, the LED (number 1 flashes quickly) Then it trips out the fuse box. no water is going in.
Please can someone help? (Before indesit charge us a ridiculous amount!)

    Will be eternally grateful
