ParticipantI am posting this out of desperation! I purchased an ISE5 from UK Whitegoods in November 2008 for £499.00 including 5 years warranty. In October 2010 I contacted UK Whitegoods as I had a problem and an engineer did come out and look at it and stated there was a problem possibly with the barings! This was over a month ago now and despite repeated emails to UK Whitegoods nobody seems to want to reply to me anymore and I have a washing machine that is getting noisier, making holes in clothes and generally not washing well!
Can anybody please advise me what to do next as I thought I was buying from a trusted company when I bought from UK Whitegoods and also the reason I paid nearly £500 was because I was getting a 5 year warranty (or so I thought).
Is there a problem with ISE? I feel that I have been patient enough and now I will be contacting other parties for advice but I will not let the matter drop and I will be as noisy as possibly.
Any advice gratefully received.November 24, 2010 at 3:16 pm #336840Martin

It would appear from another thread CLICK HERE TO READ IT that contacting ISE via email doesn’t appear to be working? I’m sure it’s just a tempory glitch and someone from ISE will get back to you soon enough though. 🙂

Hi there
I have been emailing a David Quinn at UK Whitegoods and he seemed to be very helpful in the beginning but seems to have dropped off the face of the earth and is not replying to any of my recent emails.
My apologies if David Quinn is sick or something.

Perhaps it’s best to give him a bell then on 0845 226 1268. Emails can easily get lost in the ether and to ensure you get the very best attention it’s always best to ring and speak directly to someone who can sort it. 🙂

Hi,
What email address have you been using as, on a scan of all the non-specific-user accounts (in other words not personal mails) there are none from your email address used here.
David was on holiday until yesterday, if you’ve been sending directly to him he probably won’t have seen it until yesterday at best.
K.

hi all,
I think the good old telephone is still the best way to communicate in most cases, especially if there is a repair/complaint/any sort of response required 😉
Emails are very good in there own right, but as with David at ise, how do you know if the person is reading or even receiving your message 🙁
I am sure you (mumof 6) will now get your washer repaired as quick as possible, as i can imagine the pile of washing you will have 😉
kind regards

hi mumof6,
As a mumof3 i was just wondering if you have had any help with your ise5 machine?
I have just purchased the new model ise10 and am very pleased with it! If you have read this forum you will know i am washing machine obsessed, for the ise10 anyway :rolls:

Also looking forward to an update on this issue, hope all has been sorted by ISE/their nominated repairer.

hi jaunty,
I hope this is not another ‘passer through’ :rolls:
It is a shame when a post like this is started with no the follow-up as to how things were resolved 🙁
I enjoy reading the posts where someone has a ‘breakdown’ and then follows up with how they repaired (or not), these posts are a good help to others ‘in the same boat’ 🙂
regards

I’m still on the fence about getting a current ISE10.
It would be good to know that their service back up works hence my interest in this post, and that they have repair agents that would come out to my area (see a seperate post of mine).

hi jaunty,
I realised why your interest and saw your other post. It is a real shame about the agent situation where you live, i live down in zomerset and there are several agents reasonably nearby in devon and dorset which is unusual as we are usually ‘left out’ :rolls:
Hope you can find agents near you so that you can have an ise10 if you so desire, it really is a suberb bit of kit 😀
kind regards

If this was all sorted, then I would not think ISE confirming so on the thread would breach any sort of data protection act, as we do not know anything about the poster.
But no news on the thread. So it is reasonable to assume the worst and that nothing has happened, and the repair is unresolved. A consumer trying desperately to get some help to fulfil their warranty but with no update after a week, is not what I am looking for before deciding whether to pay £899 plus delivery for a new washing machine. I would be delighted to be put right.
