Hi All
Please…Please… can I do this ???
Might be an idea to post up a request for a statement from CDSL if the worst should happen. i.e. what would be thier policy regards payment to agents for completed work

Actually…
That would be rather interesting.
Just what is the policy from each WP in respect to this? Don’t single one out as then it just looks vindictive, but where’s the harm in asking them all?
Also,, what would happen if, let’s say a certain TA, was to act as a funnel for a class action to sue for monies outstanding from a WP if they refused to pay?
Lot’s of interesting things there.

Well I do know that if any of ISDALS companies went belly up they would stop the work and pay up for any work carried out.
Which they have done with the likes of TEBA & a couple of others over the years.

Which is fine, if they pay you at all. 😉
I have ISDAL on stop now, fed up with it.

Most odd, apologising for everything and our losses, offered to help liase with D&G over the unpaids from them, confirmed about Mr Willey taking the spares (slight snag over the ownership of the building holding things up there apparently) and the sign off……. “if I get back in the trade will you mind if I give you a call?”
Obviousy something planned.December 17, 2008 at 8:22 pm #105803kwatt

Well and, this is purely speculation on my part…
The MFI, Diplomat and Hygena brands are nowhere to be seen by the looks, I’d guess that Flavel et all hold the rights and that was part of the deal on the MBO. They’d have hived the brands off before they sank MFI Group Limited to a separate holding company I expect before that went pop and, I suspect, that was the reason for the MBO in the first place largely as, if it wasn’t trading in profit before, what was going to change?
So, what remains is only the question of, what’s worth all the aggro?
Answer, the brands.
I would expect that, at some point next year, MFI gets resurrected from the dead in some form and I’d wager that’s what Mr Knowles, Flavel and the rest of the MBO crew are working on after getting shot of all the costs.
I think that they were under pressure and that some things were let go that they didn’t want to let go but they had little option with the timeframes that they had. Largely I suspect that’s to do with the fact that some landlords and, I think Galiform was one, that didn’t allow them to trade into 2009 rent free.
Basically, I don’t think they had many options.
But it will be very interesting to see where it all goes. 😉

Me too ,telling me what a wonderful Job I had done over the years (strange as I had never met him ).
And had I been paid anything ,sadly he confirmed there is no chance of money from Kroll .
Said he had irons in the fire and had been keyholding Norwich for the administrators and could he speak to me in future .

LawrenceDitto…
Just had the same conversation, and he waxed lyrical regards the parts supply, and hoped I would carry on and use the new regime. He is hoping to speak to me again soon, and we can set up a rapport.
We shall see.

Had this e-mail over the weekend. I’m only talking to him so I can see what he is up to.
Thanks for your time the other day and the support you have given me at MFI. I am looking at what I am going to do next and there are some interesting possibilities that I want to pursue.
In terms of the potential for future repair work, could you check the following details are correct and confirm back? Please include any amendments as necessary.
Best Regards
Malcolm
