    Hi

Has anyone heard of these guys?
Apparently they pass you the call, and book it for the next day with the customer, its then its up to you to phone and change the appointment to suit you.
All they charge you for this service is £20.00
And they quote the customer £45.00, so you end up doing the call for £25.00…..

I asked them if they were taking the p**s :rotfl:

    Re: National Appliance Care ?

I note it states agents charge their own prices, that price is what an agent wants to charge for that job, yet they quote the price to the client before they pass the call to an agent.

If l’m charging my prices per job and there decided by me, how do they know what l would want for that job, is ade employing gypsies now.

“We simply take the call, pre-qualify the repair, quote YOUR charges and book the call for you. You then receive notification via email & TXT Message that you have a new job allocated. We do not diarise. We do not ‘Administrate’ any repair. We simply find the customer and pass them to you!So what’s in it for us?”

Sounds like ade, not to bright, not well thought out and likely to be added to the list of other failed businesses.:-?

    Re: National Appliance Care ?

i get some work from national appliance care. we get about 20 to 30 a week from them and never had problems. the guy above that says he doesnt know how they can quote fees, lee8, from what i know is that they have one or two firms per area so they know their charges when they take them on. we also do a lot of electrical work so i like this because the jobs i get are proper jobs not time wasters wanting free callouts and i can say no to jobs i cant do without getting charged anything.
seems good to me compared to another firm that asked if i can do repairs for 40 pound. as a spark by trade i have seen that there is lots of profit to be made in spare parts. i can get my own spare parts with national appliance care and i keep all the money so the profit margin is pretty good. there job booking system is also very good.

    Re: National Appliance Care ?

    WOW!

20-30 jobs a week in South Wales!

A lot of major service agencies get less than that and they have a guaranteed customer base and rank way, way higher on the interweb.

That’s an astounding amount of work given the area and level of exposure. Are you sure that the numbers are correct?

    Re: National Appliance Care ?

hello yes. some weeks it might be less and sometimes weve had to pause them as really busy but generally 20 to 30 is right. last week we were only omline with them for 3 days and had 14 booked jobs. but the good thing is if i dont get any or dont want any then i dont pay anything.

    Re: National Appliance Care ?

I’m really surprised by that as they are nowhere on the search engines.

    Re: National Appliance Care ?

Quite remarkable that Jamie gets that volume of work considering National Appliance Care have only been trading since March this year. South Wales must be buzzing apparently. I wonder if others have registered with them in other areas and could tell a similar story? Knocks 0800repair and Repaircare well out of the running yet they feature nowhere on any search engine……….quite incredible I must say.

Edit : Search for Tradebook or National Appliance Care and not one search engine locates either……..hmmm? I think Jamie’s 30 plus calls per week is well nigh improbable to comprehend.

    Re: National Appliance Care ?

I do work for them….. I thought at first that is was a waste of time but the misses in the office said it would be ok.So on the understanding if it went tits up, it was HER FAULT, we started accepting the work. Now the cheapest job we do is £49.50 for a washing machine repairs ,but going up to £65.00 for large refrigeration. Out of that you have to pay them £20.00 for sending you the job. I use these as a boost to my work. If I am busy I let them know and they stop sending work. When receiving work I usually get 10-15/week. I can also refuse any I don’t want and not get charged!
It really is a swings and roundabouts way of getting work. If you don’t fit parts you make a loss on your usual charges, but still get say 70-80{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}. If it is BER then I get say £49.50 – their £20.00 =£29.50 + VAT, which is £4.50 more than my usual charge. On top of this if I do fit parts I get the value of my mark up on the spares so probably break the same , if not a little more than a standard Repaircare job all in all.
So in brief at the moment it is working for us.The guys who run it are called Mick and Adrian, they are always available on the phone if a problem hits and usually get problems sorted quickly. So it really is up to the independent, some may like it some wont, but at the end of the day it isn’t Servicenet! It really is a take if you want and don’t take if you don’t want, so ATM a win win for me.

    HOpe that helps

    Jazz.

    Re: National Appliance Care ?

ok guys, i’ll throw my hat in to the ring.
ive been doing work through national appliance care for a good few weeks now.
like a poster above, I thought suck it and see. give it a go and if it’s not for us then so be it.
it actually works very well alongside existing work and does it’s bit to help cash flow.
for us it’s another (viable) iron in the fire. the more irons we have in the fire the better, I and many others on here know that from isdal last year.
martin, as incredulous as you are, it does work. we’ve had to pause work many times due to the volume of calls coming through.
i’m also well aware of the past difficulties between Adrian and members of the WTA, but i’m hoping that people can recognize that being in the WTA and working for national appliance care are not mutually exclusive.

    Re: National Appliance Care ?

20 to 30 leads a week @ £20+VAT each equates to around £30,000 annual commission paid to this outfit. I can’t see my accountant being content with this level of marketing spend!
